Introduction

Thank you for having me! I’m thrilled to connect with your readers. My name is Yasmin Larson, my friends call me Yazzy my stage name is YazzyDazzle I just turned 13 in November, and I’m a passionate creative with a multifaceted career. As an actress, writer, model, and aspiring designer, I’ve embraced every opportunity to explore different avenues of art and storytelling. Life has been an incredible journey, and I’m excited to share more about my path with you.

Personal Journey

From childhood to where I am today, my journey has been shaped by resilience, creativity, and a drive to explore new horizons. I have always been ambitious, and as a straight-A student, I balanced academics with my passions. Writing a middle-grade book was a childhood dream that I recently realized, inspired by a major life event. My journey also took me into the entertainment world, where I have been featured on magazine covers, starred in commercials, appeared in feature films, and participated in TV series pilots. This year, I will be filming another TV series in Colorado—a project I am thrilled about!

Overcoming Challenges

Life has not been without its challenges, but each obstacle has shaped who I am. One of the most defining moments was undergoing heart surgery in February 2024. That experience gave me a deeper appreciation for life and inspired me to pour my emotions into writing. The result was my middle-grade book—a heartfelt story that I hope resonates with others. I have learned that challenges are opportunities in disguise, and I carry that lesson with me every day.

Hidden Talents

What people often don’t know about me is that I wear many hats beyond acting and modeling. I’m a writer, aspiring clothing designer, and someone who loves to express creativity in different forms. Each of these pursuits reflects a part of me, and I cherish the chance to bring my ideas to life.

What sets me apart is my drive to blend versatility and authenticity in everything I do. Whether I’m on-screen, designing clothes, or writing, I aim to tell a story that connects with people. I also bring a unique combination of skills from my physical training— gymnastics, jiu-jitsu, weapons handling, and dance—which adds depth and authenticity to my performances. My ability to embrace multiple creative outlets and turn challenges into inspiration defines me in both the industry and life.

Upcoming Events

One of the major projects I’m excited about is the TV series pilot “We Are Hunted” I filmed in Moscow, Idaho, which is set to release in 2025.I play Marz it is about after the destruction of civilization, and mysterious creatures roam the planet, hunting only those who are too weak to move. A hardened man named Saul must save two sisters May and Marz from an inevitable fate. I am also gearing up for my next TV series shoot in Colorado, which promises to be another thrilling chapter. There are many exciting things on the horizon, and I’m looking forward to sharing them with the world.

Personal Preferences

When it comes to food, I’m all about spaghetti—it’s my absolute favorite! On the physical side, I’ve been involved in gymnastics, jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, and weapons training, which includes staff, sword, fencing, and nunchaku. I also love dancing and playing basketball. These activities not only keep me active but also fuel my passion for physical expression in my work.

Friends, Family

I’m based in Minnesota, where I’ve built a strong foundation with the support of friends and family. They’ve been my rock through every high and low, and I’m incredibly grateful for their presence in my life.

Expert Advice

My advice to readers is simple: embrace life’s challenges as stepping stones to growth. Your struggles can become your biggest inspirations if you let them. Pursue your passions wholeheartedly, stay curious, and never stop learning—you never know where the journey will take you.

If you could make a wish on a shooting star what would you wish for?

If a shooting star granted me a wish, I’d wish for a world where every kid, just like me, can have a fair shot at their dreams. Imagine a place where school is a super cool adventure, and every friend has a superhero cape of kindness. No hungry tummies, just lots of tasty snacks for everyone. And guess what? Our talents are like superpowers – whether it’s acing school or shooting hoops, we all get to shine. Let’s make the world a stage for our dreams, where being unique is the coolest thing ever. And as the shooting star twinkles away, it leaves behind a night sky full of opportunities for every kid to reach for the stars.

If I could Create a new holiday what would it be called, and how would we celebrate it?

If I could create a brand-new holiday, l’d call it “HeartShineDay””! It’s a day dedicated to spreading kindness like confetti. Imagine waking up to a day filled with heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast, and everyone wearing colorful clothes to show their true selves. Throughout the day, we’d have “Smile Challenges” where you earn points for making others smile. In the afternoon, we’d gather in parks for a
“Unity Picnic,” sharing food from different cultures because, you know, unity is our strength. We’d plant “Seeds of Kindness” together – literal seeds that grow into flowers, just like the kindness we spread. As the sun sets, we’d light up the night with lanterns, each carrying a wish for a better world. It’s a celebration of love, laughter, and the magical glow we all carry in our hearts. Because, in our world, every day is a chance to let our hearts shine bright!

What’s the proudest achievement or moment so far and why does it make you feel so proud?

If I had to pick, it would be the day I turned my love for writing into something super special. You see, I finished writing my very first book at 12-years-old and it feels like I will be adding a splash of color to the world with my words. It’s a story about a girl with magical powers and who discovers that having a magical powers could lead to a world of trouble when using them. Sharing this with other kids is my goal. I want to create a language where hearts understand each other. Knowing that my words could make someone smile, feel understood, or imagine a whole new world that’s what makes me burst with pride. It’s like my heart did a happy cartwheel because I realized that even at a 13- year-old like me can make a difference, one word at a time.
