I am Sonali Basu Roy—a cybersecurity marketing leader, strategist, and passionate advocate for women breaking barriers in technology and leadership. Beyond my corporate journey, I am proud to be a finalist for two regional upcoming pagaents,platforms that celebrates confidence, purpose, and empowerment. I believe true success lies in balancing ambition with authenticity, and using every opportunity to inspire others to pursue their dreams fearlessly.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

Every phase of my life has come with its own challenges. Building a successful career in the highly competitive cybersecurity industry while balancing family responsibilities required resilience, discipline, and countless sacrifices. There were moments of self-doubt and setbacks, but I never allowed them to define me. Instead, I embraced every challenge as an opportunity to grow stronger. My pageant journey has also taught me that beauty is not about perfection—it’s about courage, confidence, and believing in yourself at every stage of life.

What do people usually not know about you?

Many people know me as a cybersecurity marketing professional or a pageant finalist, but few know how deeply I value continuous learning and personal growth. I enjoy mentoring, exploring emerging technologies, and finding creative ways to bridge the gap between technology and human connection. I believe kindness, empathy, and authenticity are just as important as professional achievements.

What sets you apart from others?

What sets me apart is my ability to seamlessly blend technology, business strategy, with power,purpose & presence.I have built a career in one of the world’s fastest-evolving industries while also embracing opportunities that challenge me personally, such as pageantry. I hope to demonstrate that women can excel in leadership & personal passions simultaneously. I don’t believe in fitting into stereotypes—I believe in redefining them.

What are your upcoming major events?

One of the most exciting milestones ahead is competing as a finalist in two leading upcoming pagaents. Professionally, I continue to work on strategic cybersecurity marketing initiatives that help organizations strengthen digital trust and resilience. I also look forward to collaborating on projects that promote women’s leadership, digital awareness, and community empowerment.

What expert advice would you like to give?

Never limit yourself to one identity. You can be a leader, a learner, a parent, an entrepreneur, or a dreamer—all at the same time. Invest in continuous learning, embrace change, and don’t let fear stop you from exploring new opportunities. Success is not about being the best overnight; it is about showing up consistently with integrity, resilience, and a willingness to grow. Most importantly, believe in your own potential before expecting others to believe in it.
