Shemariah Pradia As Cover Story Interview – July 2025 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

My name is Shemariah Pradia—I’m a U.S. Navy Veteran, publicist, wellness advocate, and media entrepreneur. As the founder of Kept Consultants Public Relations and Senior Editor of BossXL Magazine, I dedicate my life to storytelling, community empowerment, and building platforms for unheard voices in entertainment, wellness, and social change.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

I’ve overcome a great deal—being diagnosed with SLE lupus in 2011 and stage 2 invasive ductal breast cancer in 2014 was life-changing. These experiences tested my strength, but they also deepened my purpose. As a mother, veteran, and businesswoman, I’ve faced countless battles—health, grief, and starting over—but I’ve never let them define me.

They’ve shaped the fire I carry into everything I do.

What do people usually not know about you?

Most people don’t know that I have a deep love for museum curation and cultural preservation. I’m also certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and pharmacy tech, and I blend my medical knowledge into my wellness and culinary projects. I’m also a writer—currently finishing my memoir and health cookbook, Spices of Life, set to release soon .

What sets you apart from others?

What sets me apart is my ability to merge authenticity with expertise—whether I’m curating red carpet PR campaigns, advocating for women’s health, or preparing holistic meals as a private chef, I bring lived experience and passion. I use every platform I touch—media, events, wellness—to uplift others and tell real stories that matter. My life’s work is both personal and purposeful.

What are your upcoming major events?

I’m currently planning the USVI Excellence Gala, a 4-day cultural celebration in the U.S. Virgin Islands to honor local icons and youth leaders in 2026. I’m also producing the red carpet premiere of my health and advocacy film series “Unheard” in the near future, and working on PR campaigns for artists and authors nationwide. 2025 is about impact, elevation, and legacy.

What expert advice would you like to give?

Own your story. Don’t wait for permission to walk in your calling. Whether you’re a brand, a business, or just trying to heal—you are enough. Build a foundation with integrity, keep God at the center, and understand that the journey is just as important as the outcome. Resilience and strategy will always open doors that fear tries to close.
