Here is the Q&A session we had with Salome Saliya.
Salome Saliya As Cover Story Interview – July 2026 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
My name is Salome Saliya, I’m an actress based in Europe and canada. I do speak English, farsi and Spanish fluently, trilingual.
Struggle, what hardships have you gone through in life?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced was moving to Spain to pursue a Master’s degree in Structural and Construction Engineering. I already had a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, but when I arrived, I barely spoke any Spanish.
The entire master’s program was taught in Spanish, and at the time there were no AI tools or any advanced translation apps. I spent countless hours translating
But giving up was never an option. I completed my master’s degree, and today I speak Spanish fluently. That experience taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of believing in yourself even when the odds seem impossible.
What do people usually not know about you?
People often see the confident side of me, but they don’t always realize how much work happens behind the scenes. I spend countless hours studying scenes , analyzing scripts, working on master american accent and constantly learning.
What sets you apart from others?
I believe I have a unique international perspective. Originally Persian, but I can be American, African American, Spanish, or Latina. Straightening my hair makes me look Middle Eastern.
I’m also passionate about human psychology. I have a YouTube channel called @salomesaliya where I discuss human behaviour, and I genuinely believe acting and human psychology are closely related.
What are your upcoming major events?
I was at the final stage of two major projects, but unfortunately, I didn’t work out. However, I always focus on the positive aspects. I was good enough to get a callback and make it to the final round. I also connected with casting directors who didn’t know me, so hopefully they can consider me for their upcoming projects. But I’m constantly auditioning and working on my craft which is a great thing.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Don’t wait until you feel ready. Growth happens through action, not perfection.
Whether you’re an actor or pursuing any dream, consistency will always pay off.
Stay curious, Invest in your craft, embrace rejection as part of the process, and never let other people’s opinion define your potential.
