Katharine Foley was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with her.

How do you introduce yourself?

Katharine Foley: I say I’m Katy.

Childhood to Adulthood – How was your transition from childhood to adulthood and what are the bad and good things you remember?

Katharine Foley: I still feel like I’m a kid in a lot of ways and I don’t think that’s a bad thing. Still love going on adventures and my career is in make believe. So I guess the big difference is I get paid to do make believe versus giving it out for free. 

The other major change now versus then is I was tested a lot as a kid. And I think that has made me more resilient as I get older. Truly value that in my career as the industry is tough. You have to constantly hustle and not take things too personally. I really owe my outlook to my childhood. 

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

Katharine Foley: The biggest hardships would have to be growing up. When you’re younger you have less internal resources as to how to take care of yourself then you do when you’re older. It just comes with experience. 

I was sent to a rigorous math and science school as a kid. The struggle was very real as I was diagnosed with a learning disability and almost got kicked out of school for academic probation. But I worked hard and picked myself up with the help of my parents, tutors, and a few great teachers. I really owe this experience to why I’m such a hard worker today. I’ve always felt like I need to work harder to get by. Now I’m working on working smarter as well. 

What do people usually not know about you? 

Katharine Foley: I love math. 

What sets you apart from your competitors in the industry and in life?

Katharine Foley: No one can do Katy Foley like I can. 

What are your upcoming major events?

Katharine Foley: Good question! Very to be determined as our industry is in a state of flux. But personally I’m about to go on my honeymoon finally. 

What are your food preferences and physical attributes?

Katharine Foley: I prefer cheese. Not sure that helps with my physical attributes though. 

Your love life, relationships and family?

Katharine Foley: What about it? 

What expert advice would you like to give?

Katharine Foley: I wouldn’t call myself an expert. But I would say life is too short and there’s no security in any job. So go for the job you love.
