Dr. Marianna Steele was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with Ms. Marianna.

How do you introduce yourself?

Dr. Marianna Steele:  Dr. Marianna Steele is a loving wife to Kenneth Steele, a mother to three beautiful daughters, Naomi Johnson, Tiffany Steele and Christina Steele.  I am a publisher author, Anthology of Black Educators on Long Island School Districts.   I retired from education, as an Assistant Superintendent of Schools, 8 years ago, however I continue to mentor and coach teachers. I am an avid traveler and enjoy attending conferences to broaden and keep my knowledge current.  I enjoy serving as the Leader of my Church’s Women Ministry for 6 years. Once a year I host a Woman’s Book Study on Zoom for 4- 6 weeks. I enjoy speaking at events that empower women.

How was the transition from your childhood into adulthood/teenage and what good and bad things do you remember?

Dr. Marianna Steele: My childhood was difficult growing up in Jamaica for nine years as a stepchild to an abusive stepfather.  I contracted polio while in Jamacia and had to live at a clinic away from my family.  I was protected by my grandmother.  My mom fled to New York to get away from her abuser but sent finances to help support us.  I grew up with 5 sisters in a violate home environment even when we all relocated to America, our abuser rejoined our home after a year of peace.  My mom sent for him from Jamaica.  We once again were in traumatized.

I got married at 17 years old and raised my first born.  The marriage ended after 7 years.  I pursued my education and achieved a Bachelor’s degree from a prestigious college.  I continued on to receive my Master’s degree and Doctorate degree.  I remarried a wonderful man, Kenneth Steele and raised three amazing daughters.

Struggle – What hardships have you faced during your life?

Dr. Marianna Steele: I overcame prejudice, polio and a controlling ex-husband.  I had to file discrimination lawsuits against three Long Island school districts.  I won each case with substantial settlements. 

What things people usually do not know about you?

Dr. Marianna Steele: I am half Jamaican and Panamanian.  I have never met my biological father or his family.  I had polio as a child.

What make you unique from your competitors in the industry and life?

Dr. Marianna Steele: I am willing to share all I have learned in my life time with others.  I want to live a life poured out for God with holding nothing.  I want to return to Him empty.  I love to help other women Win.  I am very supportive of others and nonjudgmental.

What are your major upcoming events or services/products you want to promote?

Dr. Marianna Steele: I am a Melaleuca Distributor and so proud of the products, especially now they are selling steaks directly to your home.  I am always promoting my book, Anthology of Black Educators on Long Island School Districts.

What are your diet preference and physical measurements?

Dr. Marianna Steele: I eat sparingly, (Sleeved 9/26/2022). I do everything but mostly protein, vegetables, rarely eat sweets. Figure like a size 8- shapely,

What expert advice would you like to share?

Dr. Marianna Steele: Enjoy your life each an everyday tomorrow isn’t promised.  Find your TRIBE and love them Hard.  Find  mentors and glean from them everything they are willingly to share and be a mentor to someone who wants to do all you have accomplished so they can be greater than you.
