Mark Borusky was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with him.
Mark Borusky As Exclusive Cover Story – June 2023
How do you introduce yourself?
Mark Borusky: Mark Borusky.
Childhood to Adulthood – How was your transition from childhood to adulthood and what are the bad and good things you remember?
Mark Borusky: The transition was easy, as my parents made a point to make sure I was the opposite of the ‘typical spoiled only child, as I could read at a 3rd level before kindergarten and always had lots of chores, and wasn’t allowed to watch cartoons so I was not allowed to really be a ‘kid’, so I sure acted like one as an 18 year old as I partied way too much in my late teens/20’s. Unfortunately my father had the ‘it’s not what you say it’s how you say it’ communication style, which actually helped me as I became a parent and sales manager because I knew I would not communicate in that manner.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Mark Borusky: My hardships were self induced, and it took a long time to mature and take an honest look at myself, because I had to humble myself as I was a very good athlete and intelligent, skated through many situations without remorse or too much negativity because of my ‘verbal gymnastic skills’. November 26th , 2008 I had to really humble myself and enter drug rehab, which was tough to admit that I had a problem even though I lost everything. Now, being a VP of Sales and having a beautiful wife, house and my friends & family back in my life I help others with an addiction issue, and show by example. ‘Everything happens for a reason’ and I needed to be humbled – but I am always on a quest for self improvement.
What do people usually not know about you?
Mark Borusky: I act tough, but I’m a ‘softy’ in reality.
What sets you apart from your competitors in the industry and in life?
Mark Borusky: Listening more than talking – in business, you cannot fill a ‘want’ or create a ‘need’ unless you know the wants & needs! In life, I’ve been through everything (substance abuse, 3 marriages, etc.) so I can usually offer advice on most subjects.
What are your upcoming major events – Unforgettable Moments or products/services that you want to promote/inform?
Mark Borusky: Upcoming events are never ending deadlines for the NFL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR and USA TODAY Special Edition projects. Any business that wants to reach the audiences of their local pro teams are welcome to contact me for the opportunity; national opportunities with the official Super Bowl, World Series or NBA Finals are available. Businesses that wish to contact specific demographics may be interested in USA TODAY Veteran Affairs, Go Escape Travel, Race in America or Black History month are just a few of the USA TODAY opportunities.
The birth of my children is the ultimate unforgettable moment, my 3rd marriage to my best friend has made the last 9 years the happiest of my life – and I’m still like a teenager in their first relationship every time I look at her. As a high school basketball player hitting the winning shot against our crosstown rival, in their gym, was pretty cool.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Mark Borusky: Stay focused, never give up, every ‘no’ gets you closer to a ‘yes’.
Your social media handles and website links?
Mark Borusky: I’m just on Facebook to keep in touch with my Wisconsin friends & family and LinkedIn for business.
