Jeannette Mead was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with her.

Jeannette Mead As Cover Story – June 2024 Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

My name is Jeanette, pronounced Junay.

What was your transition like from childhood to adulthood, and what challenges did you face?

My mom enrolled me in jazz tap ballet at age 5, which I continued until I was 14. At 14, I started modeling for Macy’s, my first job. We moved frequently, attending new schools and meeting new people, which helped me adapt to change and navigate new relationships. As a result, I was ready to be independent at a young age. I graduated early and began college a year ahead of schedule. Before moving to Hawaii for a contract job with Macy’s, I modeled for Ujena Swimwear. In Hawaii, I quickly landed jobs with Suhana Swimwear, Jordache Jeans, Chanel, and was even crowned Miss Hawaiian Tropic.

What do people often not know about you?

I’m afraid of sharks!

What sets you apart from your competitors?

I don’t view myself in competition with others; instead, I focus on achieving my goals at my own pace, often working twice as hard.

What are your upcoming events?

I have upcoming events in Italy. Previously, I attended major events in Dubai, where I won the Independent Luxury Brand category award for handbags with Jeremy Slade, and the 2024 Cannes Film Festival with Lana Viernes, owner of World Dubai Fashion Week, wearing our 3-ply ostrich feather Mahina handbag.

What’s your take on food and fitness?

I enjoy sushi, Mediterranean cuisine, Italian gelato, and yogurt.

What advice can you share?

Never give up on your dreams; make them happen.
