Here is the Q&A session we had with Chiara Rossetti
Chiara Rossetti As Cover Story Interview – July 2026 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
I’m Chiara Rossetti — painter and founder of Rossetti Art. I create original paintings and translate them into gallery-quality canvas prints that we ship to collectors and homes around the world. At the core, I’m still just someone who paints every day and happened to build a business around it.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
The hardest stretch was in the very first months. Expenses were outpacing revenue, so I ended up dipping into my own savings just to keep things running. Because the budget was so tight, I couldn’t hire anyone — I was doing everything myself: social media, ads, creating the work itself, and answering every single customer message. There was no team to lean on. It taught me that you can build something real with almost nothing, as long as you’re willing to do every part of it yourself until you can’t anymore.
What do people usually not know about you?
Most people see the finished canvas and assume it came together easily. What they don’t see is that every piece starts as an original painting first — I paint it before it ever becomes a print. And most days, I’m doing both the art and the spreadsheets in the same afternoon.
What sets you apart from others?
Most canvas print companies reproduce someone else’s art. I paint the originals myself, then oversee how they’re translated into prints — hand-stretched, with handcrafted hardwood floater frames. It’s a much slower way to build a brand, but it means every piece actually has an artist behind it, not just a printer.
What are your upcoming major events?
One thing I’m genuinely excited about is bringing NFTs into Rossetti Art — the idea of offering my original paintings as verified digital assets alongside the physical pieces. I’m still researching how to do it properly, but it’s something I’m actively working toward over the coming months. It feels like a natural next step: giving collectors a new way to own and prove authenticity of a piece, without losing what makes the physical work special.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Don’t choose art to match your sofa — choose it for the feeling you want in the room. And if you’re building something creative into a business, protect the making itself. It’s easy to let the business swallow the art; the two have to stay in balance.
