Here is the Q&A session we had with Sinan Sahin.
Sinan Sahin As Cover Story Interview – August 2026 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
My name is Sinan Sahin, and I am the Founder and Director of Sintillate Talent, a multi-award-winning international influencer and talent agency. My journey into this industry is rooted in my background as a psychology graduate, specialising in how media influences human behaviour, an understanding I have consistently applied throughout my career to shape impactful strategies, partnerships, and talent development.
Over the course of my career, I have worked across large-scale business transformations, driving reductions, building strategic partnerships with some of the world’s largest brands, and delivering measurable commercial success. What has always driven me, however, is people. I am deeply motivated by developing individuals and unlocking potential, which led me to work on youth employment strategies for government initiatives and become a motivational speaker across the UK, Italy, and Portugal, inspiring young people to aim higher in their careers and life prospects.
This passion for people and behavioural insight ultimately led me to establish Sintillate Talent, where I combine my expertise in psychology, media, and business to build meaningful, long-term careers for creators while delivering authentic, results-driven partnerships for brands. Today, I am proud to be recognised as a multi-award-winning Talent Director, having worked on some of the world’s most prestigious projects, including Cannes Film Festival and Paris Fashion Week, as well as forming key partnerships with leading global fast fashion brands such as Shein and Temu.
My approach remains centred on understanding human behaviour, fostering genuine connections, and creating opportunities that drive both personal and commercial growth.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I have endured significant struggles throughout my life. As an ethnic minority from a working-class background, I was the first in my family to attend university, driven by a strong ambition to succeed. While I was fortunate to be raised by a loving and supportive family, particularly a strong mother who instilled in me the values of hard work and helping others, the path was never easy.
One of the biggest challenges I faced was finding opportunities and standing out. I worked hard academically and socially to fit in, be accepted, and carve out a path for myself. Throughout my career, I realised that the traditional 9–5 structure did not align with my ambitions. I always felt a strong desire to build something of my own, to create a business with my own vision and culture.
This journey came with its own set of hardships. I faced self-doubt, health challenges, and the constant pressure of taking risks and questioning whether I was making the right decisions. Working in an industry that is highly visible meant being under constant scrutiny, judged and questioned publicly. Maintaining confidence during uncertain times was difficult, especially when business challenges arose, such as facing setbacks.
Balancing professional pressures with personal challenges such as health, family, and relationships often tested my resilience. As a leader responsible for 300 people, the role can feel isolating, and the weight of responsibility is significant.
However, these struggles have also become my greatest strength. They have shaped my resilience, strengthened my belief in myself, and reinforced my determination to keep moving forward, no matter the obstacles.
What do people usually not know about you?
One thing people are often surprised to learn is that I didn’t have significant financial backing when I started my business. There’s a common assumption that entrepreneurs have substantial investment behind them, but my story is very different.
I come from a hardworking, working-class family. My parents gave me something very valuable: unwavering love, encouragement and belief in me. I was the first person in my family to attend university, and from a young age I made a conscious effort to surround myself with ambitious, positive people who shared strong values and inspired me to think bigger.
I’ve always been a people person. As a natural extrovert, I thrive on building relationships and connecting with others, and that’s been a defining strength throughout my career. Whether in the Higher Education sector or now leading Sintillate Talent, my energy comes from working with people, bringing teams together and helping others achieve their potential.
Looking back, I believe my journey has been shaped not by financial advantage, but by self-belief, resilience, the support of my family, and the influence of ambitious people around me. Those foundations gave me the confidence to take risks, build a business from the ground up, and create opportunities not only for myself but for hundreds of others.
What sets you apart from others?
I believe what sets me apart is my loyalty to people.
The influencer industry has long been known for being highly competitive, transactional and, at times, unforgiving. Relationships can often be short-term, with decisions driven purely by commercial gain. I’ve always wanted to build something different.
Loyalty has been one of my core values throughout my life. I still have the same close group of friends that I grew up with from nursery school, and those lifelong relationships have shaped how I approach both business and leadership. Trust, respect and standing by people are values that have always been important to me.
At Sintillate Talent, we don’t simply manage creators, we invest in them. We dedicate time to developing their careers, building their confidence, connecting them with opportunities and introducing them to brands that trust our judgement. When someone demonstrates professionalism, respect and a genuine commitment to growing alongside us, I believe it’s my responsibility to repay that loyalty by investing even more into their success. That isn’t motivated by financial return; it’s about recognising trust with opportunity.
Every creator we recommend reflects our reputation. When we introduce someone to a brand, we’re effectively saying, “We believe in this person, we trust them, and we’re proud to put our name behind them.” If challenges arise, we stand beside our talent, support them and protect the relationships we’ve worked hard to build. That’s what true management means to me.
Of course, loyalty isn’t always reciprocated, and that’s simply part of the industry. When trust is broken, it’s disappointing, but it never changes the way I choose to lead. If anything, it reinforces why loyalty is so valuable. In an industry where it’s often in short supply, I believe building genuine, long-term relationships based on trust, integrity and mutual respect is what truly sets both myself and Sintillate Talent apart.
What are your upcoming major events?
It’s been an incredibly busy year already, and we’re only halfway through it.
At Sintillate Talent, we’ve already celebrated our sixth anniversary in London, attended the Soul Town Garden Party at Studio 338, and celebrated the premiere of Jackie the Stripper in Leicester Square, a particularly memorable occasion for me as I make a cameo appearance as one of the lead gangsters in the film.
Looking ahead, the calendar is just as exciting. We’ll be returning as official partners of Miss Swimsuit UK, where I’ll once again be joining the judging panel for the sixth consecutive year. Across the summer, we’ll be supporting major events including Creamfields and Soul Town Festival, before turning our attention to London Fashion Week and potentially Paris Fashion Week later in the year. We’ll also be attending the London Lifestyle Awards, alongside a growing number of brand launches, hospitality activations and industry events that continue to emerge throughout the year.
One of the things I love most about my role is that no two weeks are ever the same. While the high-profile events are always exciting, they’re only one part of what we do. Alongside them, we’re managing hundreds of influencer campaigns each month across fashion, beauty, lifestyle and hospitality, working closely with both brands and creators to bring campaigns to life.
It’s a fast-paced industry, but that’s exactly what makes it so rewarding. There’s always another opportunity, another event and another partnership just around the corner.
What expert advice would you like to give?
My advice is simple: keep going.
Business is a journey filled with highs and lows. It’s important not to become too consumed by either. Celebrate your successes, but don’t let them define you. Equally, don’t allow setbacks or failures to knock you off course. Every challenge is an opportunity to learn, adapt and come back stronger.
In my experience, the most successful people aren’t necessarily the most talented, they’re the ones who manage their emotions well. They stay consistent, remain level-headed and continue moving forward regardless of the circumstances. Business will always have its ups and downs, but resilience comes from learning to ride those waves rather than being controlled by them.
It’s equally important to protect your balance. Make time for your work, but also for your family, your friends and yourself. Success is far more sustainable when you look after your wellbeing alongside your career.
Above all, stay consistent, trust the process and keep showing up. Progress doesn’t always happen overnight, but those who persevere with patience, resilience and a positive mindset are often the ones who achieve the greatest long-term success.
