DeAna Fai is a Pop-Soul/R&B recording artist, songwriter, and celebrity podcast host whose music has been featured across major streaming platforms and television networks, including Netflix, Lifetime, BET, and Amazon Prime. As an independent artist managing her own label, Oxymoron Music Entertainment, she has built a career defined by creativity, versatility, and determination while viewing every challenge as an opportunity to grow. Beyond music, she is passionate about mentoring others and recently expanded her influence with her celebrity podcast, One on One with DeAna Fai, spotlighting entertainment, self-care, and philanthropy. Guided by the belief that persistence and continuous learning lead to success, she encourages others to embrace every detour as a step toward their true purpose.

How do you introduce yourself?

I’m DeAna Fai, a Pop-Soul/RnB Recording Artist, Songwriter and Celebrity Podcast Host and Creator of “One on One with DeAna Fai.” As a sync artist, I’m a featured writer and performer of songs placed in trailers of Feature Films that have appeared on LifeTime TV, B.E.T., Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Tubi, The CW, and more. I’ve been blessed to have my songs placed in films starring Bill Bellamy, Tamala Jones, Erica Hubbard, Shanti Lowry, Omar Gooding, Tatyana Ali, Torrei Hart, Brian White, Leonard Roberts, and several others. I was also the 2020 Finalist for the Loni Love Quarantine Talent Show.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

Although I’m an independent artist, I find that navigating project deadlines can be demanding sometimes. However, I also view these challenges as opportunities for growth instead of hardships. I’m definitely a problem-solver and it is always fulfilling to overcome these hurdles. And if I’m unable to meet the expectations I set for myself, I try to use those as learning moments and attempt to find the positivity in the delay.

What do people usually not know about you?

I’m a natural teacher. I tend to help people if I can, especially if it’s something I’m well-versed in. And if I’m not, I’m the type that will do my research to find the answer(s) even if it takes hours at a time or more. I’m definitely a “go-getter.” I’m also a very picky eater.

What sets you apart from others?

I’m a self-managed artist under my label Oxymoron Music Entertainment. Although I can write a song with music, I can also write a full song; a complete vocal arrangement to a click track prior to obtaining music. Most people I’ve encountered over the years have found that to be interesting and pretty cool to be able to do.

What are your upcoming major events?

Well, I’ve recently launched my Celebrity Podcast series “One on One with DeAna Fai,” where I bridge the gap between entertainment, media, self-care and philanthropy. Currently streaming on YouTube, it features Hollywood patriarch Richard Lawson, and Amadeus (Multi-platinum Music Director & Tour Drummer for Trey Songz). Those that are set to appear this season include Cheryl The Pearl of The Sequence, Celebrity Makeup Artist Magen Grays, CEO of Sho-Time TV and Sho-Time Battle Rap League, Karine “Sho-Time” Thornton, and Emmy-winners Erica Hubbard and Lady Luck.

What expert advice would you like to give?

Continue to keep learning and growing. Manifest your goals, put in the work and never give up. Rerouting isn’t failure, it’s alignment.
