Mélissa Sailer As Cover Story Interview – July 2026 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

My name is Mélissa Sailer, and I am a singer, songwriter, and content creator from Strasbourg, France.

Music has been a part of my life since I was very young. I am best known for my vocal resemblance to Vanessa Paradis, which gave me the opportunity to appear on the French television show Voix de Stars, where I represented the artist by performing her iconic song Joe le Taxi.

Today, I continue my artistic journey through music, social media, and various creative projects that allow me to share my world, my emotions, and my story with my audience.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

Life has taught me resilience.

I underwent knee surgery that led to serious complications, including Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), formerly known as reflex sympathetic dystrophy. I still live with the physical effects of this condition today. This experience profoundly changed my life and had a significant impact on my emotional well-being.

In addition, my father has Huntington’s disease, a neurodegenerative disorder that has deeply affected our entire family. Watching a loved one battle such an illness changes the way you see life forever.

Despite these challenges, I have never stopped believing in my dreams. Music has become my refuge, my therapy, and my way of transforming pain into something meaningful and positive.

What do people usually not know about you?

Many people see the smiling singer on social media, but they often don’t realize the invisible battles behind that image.

I am a very sensitive person, and I sometimes struggle with anxiety and fears that aren’t visible to others. Even so, I continue moving forward every day with determination.

I truly believe that our vulnerabilities can become our greatest strengths when we choose to turn them into motivation to keep growing.

What sets you apart from others?

What sets me apart most is my authenticity and sensitivity.

I have never tried to be anyone other than myself. I embrace my journey—both my successes and my struggles—and I share them openly and honestly.

My vocal resemblance to Vanessa Paradis is a unique quality that helped introduce me to a wider audience and led to my appearance on Voix de Stars, where I performed Joe le Taxi. However, beyond that resemblance, I want to be recognized for my own individuality and for the emotions I convey through the stories I tell in my songs.

The challenges I have faced have taught me resilience, empathy, and perseverance. Today, I strive to transform those experiences into strength and inspiration, not only through my music but also by supporting emerging artists. I help them increase their visibility, grow their online presence, and build engaged communities around their work.

I firmly believe that our differences are our greatest strengths and that authenticity is our most powerful signature.

What are your upcoming major events?

I am delighted to exclusively announce that my next single will be released on October 23, which also happens to be my birthday.

The song is titled “Tu m’appelais Céline”, a piece I wrote myself that holds a very special place in my heart. It is inspired by my personal story and the deep bond I share with my father, who has Huntington’s disease.

When I was a child, my father affectionately called me “Céline” because he greatly admired Céline Dion’s voice. Through this song, I want to pay tribute to him by sharing our memories and expressing the love, emotion, and strength that define the unique relationship between a father and his daughter.

Alongside my music career, I also mentor emerging artists, helping them develop their careers. I support them in increasing their visibility, strengthening their social media presence, building engaged communities, and growing loyal fan bases through personalized guidance.

My goal is to share my experience, encourage tomorrow’s talent, and help artists find their place in the music industry while remaining true to their artistic identity.

The coming months promise to be filled with exciting moments, including the release of my new single, new musical projects, and the continuation of my work supporting the artists I mentor.

What expert advice would you like to give?

Never give up on your dreams because of obstacles or the opinions of others.

Talent is important, but perseverance, hard work, and self-confidence are just as essential.

Every challenge can become a source of strength and inspiration if you choose to keep moving forward despite the difficulties.

Stay authentic, believe in yourself, and never be afraid to be different. More often than not, it’s what makes you truly unique.
