Caitlin McEachran (Model, Actress and Designer) was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and here is the Q&A session we had with Caitlin.

How do you introduce yourself?
I’m a person just like anyone else. The main thing that’s special about me is that I’m myself, and the things I’ve done stem from the core of my identity. At my core, I’m Caitlin. What that’s made of is my experiences, my childhood, my essence, and my soul, but what encompasses me is who I am.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
What immediately comes to mind is my experiences with divorce and domestic violence at such a young age. We’ve all had struggles and hardships, but that threw me for a loop more than anything else. My entire life and its course were permanently changed, and it took years for me to come to grips with that. It was a severe downswing that shook my trust in other people, my faith in others, the way I see the world, and the value of my relationships. Like anything else, the next day came and I was forced to face it, so I did it.
What do people usually not know about you?
People underestimate my compassion for others. Lots of people think you have to be snide, brutal, and cutthroat, but this world is so vast and our connections with others are what make life worth living. I’ve had to move beyond some and nothing lasts forever, but I have such an admiration for the human spirit, and for whatever reason, people are surprised.
What sets you apart from others?
The belief in myself that carried me to where I am sets me apart. I’ve had setbacks, false starts, and failures, but my belief in myself has remained steadfast. That sort of belief can border on delusional, but you have to be a bit delusional to make something that doesn’t exist or do something that’s never been done.
What are your upcoming major events?
I have an upcoming play on stage in Paris, “A fundamental right to choose,” and I’m going to be shooting in Germany for a few months starring in a feature film. I also have an upcoming tv series based on a horror anthology narrative that I’m starring in. Beyond that, living itself is the most major event, and I’m excited to face what comes.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Don’t compare your path to others. Life is nonlinear, and sometimes you have to step back to take a leap forward. Believe in what you’re doing, and focus on your vision. There are so many things that can shake you, and things can slow down, but as long as you keep putting one foot in front of the other, keep showing up, and persevere, the rewards are there for the taking.
