Sylvia Sander As Cover Story Interview – December 2025 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

I’m Sylvia, an influencer and mom to a wonderful dog named Philipp. My Instagram adventure began seven years ago. My dog inspired me to start this account. I love making friends with people from other countries and continents, and discussing various topics. Meeting new people allows us to learn about how others live, their stories, and their experiences. We meet people who are different from us and see a different perspective on the world. This way, we can always learn something new.

What most people don’t know about you?

What most people don’t know about me is that I’m always in a bad mood in the morning. I’m not very talkative and have a Grumpy Cat expression on my face. But luckily, that disappears after a few minutes And that I’m a fan of “Bridget Jones,” the heroine of Helen Fielding’s books and their film adaptations. Bridget Jones, played by Renée Zellweger, has become a symbol of imperfection that resonates with many women, because her struggle with life, mistakes, and the search for love reflects the daily struggles of many people. In my case, it’s motivation to exercise; I feel like I need five times more motivation than most people. I do Pilates (unfortunately, not regularly). Ah, that little Birdgett in me But… I’m very disciplined when it comes to nutrition. I buy almost exclusively organic products, I have excluded unhealthy fats, I only drink mineral water every day and I buy sweets from reliable producers without chemicals.

What sets you apart from others?

What sets me apart is creativity. It’s not just about artistic ability, but also about the ability to think outside the box, find unconventional solutions, and see possibilities where others see limitations. Creativity simply distinguishes people who can see the world from a different perspective. The qualities that set us apart are not just our skills, talents, or achievements. They also include the way we perceive the world, our values, temperament, and even the way we interact with others.

What is your advice to others?

My advice to others is: Work on your self-confidence, set and achieve goals, both small and large, and develop positive habits—something so many people lack, especially in times when comparisons with others are commonplace. Arrogance is often confused with self-confidence because it often presents itself similarly, and that’s definitely the wrong approach. A self-confident person doesn’t have to prove anything to anyone. Their attitude stems from a deep conviction of their own worth, but also from humility toward the world and others. It’s not about being perfect or infallible, but about having confidence in themselves and their decisions.

What are your upcoming major events?

We’re currently enjoying the magic of December with all the scents of cinnamon and roasted almonds in the air, and soon we’ll be getting ready, packing our trunks, for our two-week trip to Spain for Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
