How do you introduce yourself?
I go by Sciarra which is my middle named pronounced “Shar-ra”. I am an alternative pop artist and songwriter.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Losing my mom to cancer was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. She was everything to me. And then a couple years later my home burned down and that was extremely difficult as I lost everything.
What do people usually not know about you?
They usually don’t know that I used to be a competitive figure skater and did it for over 10 years. Then I also coached kids for a few years!
What sets you apart from your competitors in the industry and in life?
I grew up as a competitive figure skater, so discipline and pushing through pain are built into me. That world taught me how to be organized, relentless, and how to show up even when everything hurts—which is pretty much what it takes to survive in music too.
What are your upcoming major events – Unforgettable Moments or products/services that you want to promote/inform?
I am going to be launching my own sunglasses that I designed for my fashion line called SCIARRA. I will be launching them officially sometime in May along with a new song that will be a completely new era for me. Go check them out at www.shopsciarra.com
What expert advice would you like to give?
My best advice for anyone wanting to pursue a passion is to learn the business. It helps so much to know the ins and outs of the industry you want to be in.
