Vieslava Stanevič As Cover Story Interview – August 2024 Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

Hi, my name is Vieslava, but my international friends call me V. I’m a videographer living in Peterborough, UK, and I’m passionate about capturing moments that tell a story. I travel across the UK and worldwide, always on the lookout for new inspiration and creative challenges.

How was your Childhood to Adulthood transition?

Growing up in a small town in Lithuania, Rudiskes, with Polish roots, meant I was always immersed in many’s rich cultures. I was an active and adventurous child, constantly exploring new interests. One of my proudest moments was starting a dance club at just 15 years old, teaching local children three times a week. However, the transition to adulthood hit hard when I moved to Cyprus right after my final school exams. I had no job, no friends, and only 150 euros, which forced me to grow up quickly. The challenges I faced, including being exploited at work, taught me resilience and independence. On the positive side, these experiences also instilled in me a sense of fearlessness and determination that continues to drive me today.

What hardships did you face in your life?

One of my significant struggles was moving to the UK and working in factories for seven years a far cry from what I envisioned for my life. After my first son was born, I tried to start a sportswear business, but the COVID-19 pandemic brought everything to a standstill. I then ventured into makeup artistry but balancing this with raising a young child proved difficult, especially without the resources to work in the salon. However, these hardships pushed me to keep searching for my passion, eventually leading me to videography, where I found my true calling.

What do people usually not know about you?

Many people don’t know that I’ve always been driven by a need to constantly learn and grow. My journey into videography started from scratch—I didn’t have any formal training at first. Instead, I taught myself everything from filming to editing, all while balancing motherhood and various jobs. Despite being an introvert, I’m deeply committed to personal growth and never shy away from challenges. I find that my introspective nature allows me to focus deeply on my work and connect with my creative side in meaningful ways.

What sets you apart from your competitors in the industry and in life?

What sets me apart is my unique background and the resilience I’ve developed through my diverse life experiences. My journey from working in factories to becoming a videographer has given me a unique perspective and a strong work ethic. I’m also a female reels maker in an industry where women are still underrepresented, which drives me to bring a different voice and vision to my work.

What are your upcoming major events – Unforgettable Moments or products/services that you want to promote/inform?

I’m excited about expanding my company, VS BUSINESSBOOST LTD, where I help businesses elevate their brand through high-quality video content.
