Southern Sherry

Known online as Southern Sherry, Sherry’s life story is one of resilience, self-discovery, and unwavering authenticity. After losing her mother to cancer at just six years old and growing up without parents, she faced challenges that shaped her determination and taught her the importance of self-love. A dedicated dental hygienist for over 30 years, she later expanded into content creation, building a following by staying relatable, genuine, and true to herself. Today, Sherry uses her platform to encourage others to embrace their uniqueness, let go of the need for approval, and recognize the value of the gifts they bring to the world.

How do you introduce yourself?

Sherry (Southern Sherry online).

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

I lost my mom at 6 years old to cancer. My childhood wasn’t easy but everything I went through made me the person I am today.

What do people usually not know about you?

Most people who don’t know me personally don’t know that I grew up without parents. Growing up without being told you are loved affects every part of your life. You go through life trying to prove yourself and wanting acceptance from others. I have learned as I have gotten older learning to love yourself is what makes you truly happy.

What sets you apart from others?

I have been a Dental Hygienist for 30 years. I started content creation and working with brands a couple years ago. I feel like being relatable and real helps anyone succeed. I try to always be my true self. I want to always strive to be the best at anything I do.

What are your upcoming major events?

I am just a regular person. I am not a celebrity and anyone special. My goal in everything I do is to do my best, be kind, encourage others, & hopefully encourage others to be their true self. To love who you are and know that everything you have gone through has made you the amazing person you are.

What expert advice would you like to give?

I’m not an expert but my advice to anyone would be.. don’t wait until you are 50 to learn to love yourself. Don’t try to fit yourself into a box or be what the world thinks you should be. Be you. There is only one you and you have gifts to give this world.
