Sheleah Weaver As Cover Story Interview – April 2025 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

A devoted mother and an award-winning actress and model, I am passionate about using my platform to create meaningful change. I believe that acting is a powerful medium to highlight important issues that affect our society today. Through my performances, I aim to shine a light on topics such as mental health, sexual abuse, domestic abuse encouraging dialogue and inspiring action. My journey in the entertainment industry has equipped me with the skills to tell compelling stories, and I am committed to leveraging my influence to advocate for those who may not have a voice. Together, we can bring awareness and drive positive change through the art of storytelling.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

When I was younger, I faced unimaginable challenges, including sexual abuse and exploitation, followed by domestic abuse in my relationships. I became a mother at 17, having two children from those difficult experiences. Despite the pain I endured, I find myself feeling grateful for my struggles. They have shaped me into the person I am today more motivated and determined than ever to make a positive change. I believe my journey can inspire others who have faced similar hardships, showing that it’s possible to rise above and create a better future.

What do people usually not know about you?

I can sing and used to spend all my time in the studio, creating my own songs from morning until night. It was such a fulfilling experience! I also have trypophobia, which means I have a fear of weird patterns. Sometimes, I can be a bit of a weirdo around people I’m close to, making silly jokes and just having fun.

What sets you apart from others?

My acting and modelling are like therapy to me. I really enjoy taking on meaningful projects because for me, it’s never been about the money; it’s about how it makes me feel and being part of projects that create real change in society. I recently worked with Women’s Aid, and it was an amazing project!

What are your upcoming major events you have coming up?

I can’t say too much about something I have coming up related to acting, but I can share that I’m currently working on my own projects aimed at helping victims of sexual abuse and domestic abuse. It’s really important to me to make a difference through my work.

What expert advice would you like to give?

Even if other people can’t see your vision, don’t let that deter you. If it’s your dream, it’s yours, not theirs. Keep pushing forward because consistency is key. Just ignore the outside noise!
