How do you introduce yourself?
Great question. I have been so many things in my life, my introduction always would change depending on who I was talking to and what industry they were in because of my intent to potentially collaborate with that individual. I have been an artist, producer, songwriter, real estate salesman, talent agent/manager, and an actor. Today, I introduce myself as an Executive Producer of Film and Music.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Attempting to become better than I was yesterday is a never ending journey. Although I am constantly improving, and working towards a higher purpose and building a legacy, the struggle to continue is the battle. With all the distractions that surround us, life-events locally and globally, bills, and responsibilities, it is a challenge to stay sane and level headed amongst the noise. Especially in a city that is expensive and has a tremendous amount of competition in your field, you have to be strong minded to not become discouraged, or depressed. Focusing on my “why” which is taking care of my family has always been the fuel to my fire, that keeps me going.
What do people usually not know about you?
Today, most people don’t know I was a rapper by the name Jonni Vegaz in English and Spanish who released 7 albums. They also don’t know I’ve acted alongside some of the biggest actors for some of the biggest networks. They also aren’t aware that I am Dominican and can speak Spanish fluently. They also may not know I grew up in New York City. They also may not know I host a podcast titled Sleep Is For Billionaires. They also may not know I wrote two self-help books titled “Sleep Is For Billionaires (If Billionaires don’t sleep, why should you?)”, and “NetworKING: Mastering networking with anxiety – A Guide for Introverts in Extroverted Roles” available on Amazon.
What sets you apart from others?
I tend to apply myself in multiple areas of expertise which allows me to serve multiple people. Although I have been many things in my life I decided to focus on the fields which I am most knowledgeable in. So, by narrowing down my niche, allows me to be a service provider to a select group of people to where I can become an authority in that space.
What are your upcoming major events?
I personally don’t have any events coming up, However, I do represent major artists such as Onyx, YoungBloodz, Rass Kass, Outlawz, Chip Tha Ripper, and more who are actively touring and their show dates are listed on their websites and social media.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Don’t be afraid to reinvent yourself to get to your destination. This journey we call life may take us in many different directions and may require you to become a different person to get further ahead. Don’t think of it as change, think of it as evolution.
