Nimrita Mangat was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with her.
How do you introduce yourself and profession?
I am Nimrita Mangat, a student currently on a gap year. I will be going on to study neuropsychology at university in September. I have always been interested in psychology and brain functionality, one of my main goals is to help people suffering from neurodegenerative diseases and to make a difference to their lives as well as their families’. Mental health disorders are on the rise rapidly and from experiencing my own hardships and struggles, I feel as though I want to help individuals also.
Childhood to Adulthood – How was the transition from your childhood into adulthood/teenage and what good and bad things you remember?
My transition from childhood to adulthood has not been an easy ride, I do feel I have had some barriers however I have continued to stay determined and committed to achieving my goals because they’re important to what I am willing to purse in the future.
Struggle – What hardships you faced during your life?
From experiencing anxiety and can find it difficult sometimes. I come across as shy and very much a people pleaser but underneath I find it hard to stay true to myself and believe in myself in certain situations.
Things that people usually don’t know about you?
I underwent a serious medical procedure during my late teens that held me back mentally and physically. I won’t go into too many details, but it made me realise a lot about myself and really put things into perspective. However, I felt I have come leaps and bounds since then and I am so proud of myself including all that I have achieved.
What makes you unique from your competitors in the industry and life?
I am truly a hardworking and determined individual, I try to do anything to the best of my ability and won’t complete it till it is done to perfection. I have struggled in the past, but those challenges I believe have shaped me and have ultimately made me a much stronger and better person.
What are your diet preferences, physical appearance, sizes and measurements?
I am a vegetarian and love pizza. I am a size 10-12, my shoe size is 5, and have a 28-inch waist and 34-inch hip measurement.
What Expert Advice would you like to share with the readers about professional and social field of life?
I think I would like to say just be yourself and don’t give up because you will get to where you want to be in the end. Believe in yourself and your abilities because that’s half of the battle, it’s amazing what you can actually achieve once you do.
