Motzort was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with him.
Motzort As Exclusive Cover Story – June 2023
How do you introduce yourself?
Motzort: I like to try to be confident when I meet people are try not to let my shyness show too much. Usually a “nice too meet you” “I’m billy”. Keeping it simple is the best way to go in my opinion.
Childhood to Adulthood – How was your transition from childhood to adulthood and what are the bad and good things you remember?
Motzort: I had a rough start to my life a bad head injury when I was 3 years old then on to sexual abuse and sexual bullying in secondary school, which I will not go into here. The childhood trauma led to a couple of stays in phsyciatric units. I’ve been on heavy medication ever since I was 18 and now I’m 43 years old so 25 years of medication. I’d like to say that if anyone experiences these sorts of things that it’s never ok, talk to someone you can trust about it. Which is what I should have done but I didn’t speak out until I was 22 because of shame and embarrassment. That was probably one of the worst mistakes I ever made. You are not alone. You will be surprised how many people care about you. It wasn’t all negative, I used to take part in video game tournaments and video game game shows on television. I was Really independent and I used to travel on my own to places like London to visit my sister who was studying at Middlesex university in ponders end. I ended up getting a blackbelt in an early form of mma. I took part in mixed martial arts tournaments too.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Motzort: Apart from my younger traumatic life events. Recently my father and my pet dog died at around the same time. That was a very difficult time for me like most people it’s hard to talk about hardships but I’ve overcome everything life has thrown at me and anybody can do the same. Keep your chin up and don’t give up. I’ve been there many times, people do understand even if it’s hard to talk about. I survived and you can too.
What do people usually not know about you?
Motzort: Not many people know that I have autoimmune issues and severe insomnia, I’m lucky if I get three hours sleep at night. When I can’t sleep I like to indulge in my favourite kpop and jpop music. Not many people know I gave up on television and traditional media a long time ago I even gave up on movies. But I enjoy YouTube because it’s a world wide community and mostly created by normal people/users and not big corporations. Not many people know I can read the Korean alphabet, I’m still learning different words now and then.
What sets you apart from your competitors in the industry and in life?
Motzort: A lot of people think I’m rather wise already for my age. This is down to all my life experiences, you learn from these events in life. There’s not much of a better feeling than helping someone with your knowledge of life itself. Apparently my voice is very calming according to a few people. Lol, I have random skills like screenwriting and I have a btec diploma in media studies. I’m really good at martial arts. The music I write for my sound cloud page is very individual and unique. I came up with the idea of classical techno Because I’ve always liked classical music and dance/techno. So I decided to name myself motzart dance.
What are your upcoming major events?
Motzort: At the moment I’ve not got much planned I’m focusing on my health. But I do plan on getting some more music written.
What are your food preferences and physical attributes?
Motzort: I was one of the first people in the country to learn mixed martial arts. It’s something I’ve never regretted, I’d recommend anyone that experiences bullying to learn some sort of self defence. It has set me up for life, that’s not a exaggeration. I like to workout when I’m up to it, and sometimes that’s in the middle of the night, it really helps build a strong mind and healthy positive attitude. If there was any medicine I’d recommend then that would be exercise. There’s nothing better. It’s a healthy addiction. I recently got tattooed with two korean finger hearts and the words 화이팅 and 파이팅 on both my arms which both mean “fighting” it’s a common Korean saying to mean keep your chin up and never give up, it doesn’t actually mean to fight something. My diet is very restrictive I have a lot of food allergies so I just eat what I can. I don’t drink alcohol. I have very few vices. But I can’t resist coffee in the morning.
Your love life, relationships and family?
Motzort: I’ve always found relationships out of reach and like something that’s unimaginable. My experience of sexual bullying left me so insecure about myself and how I look. It’s only recently that I’ve been able to even talk to the opposite sex. But also recently I learned that it’s not the most important thing in life to be in a relationship. Yes I’ve never been on one date or even kissed a girl. My family was always really close, but when my grandmother died it all fell apart, she was the rock of our family, she held our family together. I still have my sister and mother, also my Australian family are awesome but thousands of miles away so thank god for the internet! Haha.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Motzort: Don’t dwell on things too much as that will create a domino effect that is hard to break free from. Life is what it is, things happen that can be out of your control. Don’t worry about those things too much and try to focus on the things you can make a difference with. Life can be very difficult even traumatic. But also it can be a breeze so look at it from a perspective that suits you and a positive outlook is key to being comfortable with what you have.
