Miley Jo As Cover Story Interview – March 2026 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

I usually greet everyone with a cute smile and wiggling butt!  Sometimes, I give a little barking tutorial about me (mom or dad translates).  I’m Miley Jo!  I’m a 10 year old Chorkie (half Chihuahua / half Yorkie).  Well-known pet fashion model and a successful pet influencer /content creator.  People often recognize me when I’m out and about.  I’ve been doing this basically my whole life and I love it!  I enjoy walking the runway at NYFW, LAFW, The Pet Gala, The Golden Paws, and my favorite The Guide Dog Foundation for Pet Couturier Anthony Rubio.  I also like our local Tampa Bay Events.  Being a pet influencer is also a lot of fun!  I get lots of mail and things to try out to tell my friends about.  I feel excited and proud about my achievements.  So do my parents.  I’m grateful for all the opportunities past, present and future!

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

I’ve had many hardships to overcome.  I was taken from my dog mom when I was only four weeks old.  It was a sad situation, I was then presented and gifted to my human mom as a 9 week old teacup.  Obviously, a backyard breeder.  The gifter didn’t realize.  Due to this, I missed out on learning puppy basics, and identify as a small human.  I have medical issues, that I was born with, mostly minor things.  More recently, I tore my ACL a couple years ago, that was awful.  I had to have surgery, recovery wasn’t fun.  Shortly after healing from that, I was diagnosed with iris atrophy.  I can say I’m a regular at Blue Pearl specialty pet hospital.  I have spent much of my life helping Mom cope with her autoimmune conditions and last year’s breast cancer diagnosis.  I’m an excellent cuddler, listener, and cheerleader.  Mom says I’m resilient and heroic.  I’ll agree to that.

What do people usually not know about you?

Most people are not aware that I’m also my mom’s service dog.  Medical alert.  I can honestly say I possess a lot of talent and skills.

What sets you apart from others?

I’m not your typical dog, I don’t even believe I’m a dog.  My behavior is more human like than most dogs.  My actions, facial expressions, and quirky diva attitude stands out.  I have been featured in major magazines, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, People Magazine, and National Geographic Spain, to name a few.  I’ve been featured on Good Morning America, Hoy Dia, Hollywood Access, and more.  I’ve appeared in international news coverage.  I’m an animal advocate, reminding people to adopt, not shop, puppy stores are terrible and inhumane.  I’ve helped rehab a domestic baby bunny someone dropped off in our neighborhood.  As well as assist with my adopted sister who would have been euthanized due to her traumatic past and extreme fear.

What are your upcoming major events?

I have several major upcoming events.  In a few weeks I’ll be attending The Global Pet Expo in Orlando.  Then I will be heading to New York for The Guide Dog Foundation Event.  After that, I will be attending The Pet Gala by Anthony Rubio.

What expert advice would you like to give?

My expert advice is to do what makes you happy and enjoy every moment.  Embrace life as the gift that it is.  Realize not everyone will like you, and that’s ok.

Your social media handles and website links?

I’m on pretty much every platform and have my own website.
