How do you introduce yourself?

My name is Demetri Landell. I am an inspiring, caring, wise, determined creative, intelligent, and empowering individual with disabilities. I’m an actor, writer, producer and director in the Georgia film industry. It’s my dream to be a famous celebrity as an actor, writer, producer and director. I am the founder of a new Facebook Group called Aspiring Actors, Actresses and Filmmakers’ Stories. We are growing rapidly with a phenomenal group of creatives. I am also one of the founders of another Facebook group called ATL Film Consulting.

Childhood to Adulthood – How was your transition from childhood to adulthood and what are the bad and good things you remember?

For years as a child growing up, I was unable to live a normal childhood or build a career for myself, due to overcoming health problems and being in the children’s hospital repeatedly.. Some people would wrongfully doubt me and my abilities saying things about me such as “He won’t be able to do the same things as other people without disabilities can do,” however, I proved them the opposite.

I developed many lifelong skills with the determination to be the inspirational individual I am today. One example would be back in 9th grade, I was a lonely individual having a hard time recovering from my health problems which life made me feeling lonely and unsure about what I was capable of doing.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

One of the hardest things I’ve been through is that some people wrongfully mistreat me for no reason without taking time to know me.

What do people usually not know about you?

When some people don’t take time to know me and mistreat me, they don’t realize how much of a blessing I am as a person and how capable I am and truly meant to do great things.

What sets you apart from your competitors in the industry and in life?

No matter what I go through in life, I always do what’s right and treat everyone with love, respect and acceptance. I am always truly blessed.

What are your upcoming major events – Unforgettable Moments or products/services that you want to promote/inform?

I would love to share my new Facebook group that I started called Aspiring Actors, Actresses and Filmmakers Stories. It is a group for any aspiring, experienced, and famous talent to come together to network, make connections, and work together. I started this group for everyone in the entire film industry to have a safe, positive, accepting, and inclusive place to share their accomplishments and opportunities and to get discovered somehow also to be heard.

What expert advice would you like to give?

My advice to everyone is don’t ever stop being yourself and always be yourself, make good choices and do what’s right no matter what. Make your choices wisely and accept others equally. If you do nice things for someone and treat them right with love and acceptance they’ll treat you right exactly how you would want to be treated.

Don’t ever let someone tell you your’re not good enough, all humans are capable equally. We all have differences. If you’re ever in a position to choose when it comes to witnessing or knowing that someone is committing a wrongful doing, don’t ever allow them to. Don’t ever choose to get involved in someone’s bad choices. Don’t ever defend wrongful doing, because even if it wasn’t you that start trouble originally.

Any type of bad behavior can make you just as guilty as the suspects in the same way and can ruin your own life, because of your own bad choices. We all must do what’s right and treat others equally with love, kindness, respect, and acceptance in order to make all communities a better place for everyone.
