Brittney Crabb As Cover Story Interview – July 2026 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

I’m Brittney Crabb and I’ve been in love with the paranormal my entire life! As a kid, I was obsessed with ghost stories, haunted places, paranormal TV shows, and horror movies. I’ve actually been making videos since before social media even existed. My friends and I would make our own little movies using my dad’s old camera and my webcam.

I started posting videos online in 2006, first on Facebook and then on YouTube. Back then, I was making music videos, horror skits, acting videos, Harry Potter scenes, SAW scenes, dancing videos, literally everything I love! Eventually, I fully embraced my passion for the paranormal and began making YouTube videos focused on ghost stories, urban legends, haunted locations, paranormal games, and overnight investigations.

As my audience grew, I became heavily involved in the paranormal television world and it really helped shape me for who I am today!

In recent years, I’ve expanded into entertainment and media, collaborating with major movie studios, attending premieres, covering events, and interviewing actors and filmmakers. Today, I combine my love of horror, paranormal, entertainment and interviewing into one brand, and I genuinely love every part of it.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced has been adapting to how much social media has changed over the years. When I first started making videos, I wasn’t thinking, “I’m going to be this famous YouTuber!” I made videos because it was fun, and I was incredibly lucky to turn my hobby into my job. Back then, people were creating content because they genuinely loved it too. Numbers, followers, and views weren’t the focus. Creators collaborated with each other because it was fun, and there was a real sense of community. Also back then you were looked down upon for making videos on the internet, it wasn’t cool like it is today.

As social media evolved, I found myself getting caught up in the pressure of views, trends, and constantly feeling like I needed to keep up. Back then, you just had to be on YouTube, you didn’t need all these other platforms. There were times when I questioned what I was doing and whether I should change myself to fit what was considered popular. The more I focused on trends, the less connected I felt to the reason I started making videos in the first place, and for a while, I began to resent it.

Another challenge was dealing with rejection. Whether it was opportunities I didn’t get, TV projects that didn’t work out, or doors that didn’t open when I hoped they would, rejection used to affect me deeply. Looking back, though, I’m incredibly grateful for those experiences because they helped me develop confidence, resilience, a stronger sense of self worth, and a belief in myself that I didn’t have before.

Today, I’m much happier and more comfortable in my own lane. I’ve learned that authenticity is my greatest strength, and I’ve stopped paying attention to what everybody else is doing. I combine all of my passions into my content, and I’m a huge believer in being yourself. That’s the reason why I even grew an audience to begin with, I was being me. It’s honestly very freeing, and in many ways I feel the same excitement I felt as a teenager making YouTube videos just for fun. I trust my vision, I believe in what I’m building, and I’m more confident in myself than ever before.

What do people usually not know about you?

People are usually surprised to learn that I’m actually an amazing jump roper! In elementary school, I was on my school’s skipping team and absolutely LOVED it. We would learn all these routines and travel around to different schools to perform them! Most people know me as the paranormal and horror girl who’s obsessed with pink and sparkles, but they have no idea I can still pick up a jump rope and do all the tricks I learned as a kid. The funny thing is, I never really had to practice much, it all came naturally to me! I think I missed my calling as a professional jump roper. LOL!

I think people are often surprised by how many different interests I have outside of the paranormal. I love expressing myself through my outfits and makeup. Of course, I love making videos, ghost hunting, and interviewing people, and I’m also fascinated by weather and tornadoes. While horror and the paranormal are a huge part of my life, there’s a lot more to me than just ghost stories.

What sets you apart from others?

What sets me apart from others is that I’ve never been afraid to be completely myself. I’ve always believed that the best thing you can be is authentic. I’m a free spirit, I follow my own interests, and I create content based on what genuinely excites me rather than what everyone else is doing.

My life revolves around the things I love, whether that’s the paranormal, horror movies, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Linkin Park, HIM, fashion, tornadoes, Harry Potter, or anything else that captures my attention. I’ve never wanted to fit myself into one box, and I think that’s why people connect with me. What you see online is genuinely who I am in real life.

I think a lot of people spend so much time trying to follow trends that they lose what makes them unique. For me, success has always come from embracing the things I love, sharing my passions with the world, and encouraging others to do the same. I’m all about positivity, individuality, and staying true to yourself, and I think that message resonates with people. It’s how I built an audience in the first place. The number one message I get from people is that I inspired them to be themselves and embrace the things they love, and that means more to me than any view count or follower number ever could.

What are your upcoming major events?

I have a lot in the works right now, but I’ve always been someone who moves in silence and doesn’t announce my every move.

What I will say is that I’m incredibly excited about this chapter of my life and career! Life feels amazing. I feel more inspired, motivated, and confident than ever before. I’m continuing to grow as a creator, host, interviewer, and storyteller, and I’m truly living my best life right now!

What expert advice would you like to give?

The best advice I can give is to be unapologetically yourself! I know it sounds easier said than done, but so many people spend their lives worrying about what other people think, trying to fit in, or chasing whatever is popular at the moment.

The biggest opportunities in my life came from being myself. In fact, whenever a major opportunity has come my way, one of the first things people tell me is that they love how authentic I am. LOL! Stop doing what everybody else is doing because everybody is doing the same thing.

Don’t be afraid to be passionate. Don’t be afraid to be excited about the things you love. Whether it’s horror movies, music, fashion, sports, food, or something completely unique, own it. Life is so much more fun when you stop worrying about fitting in and start focusing on being yourself.

Believe in your uniqueness because that’s your greatest strength. Don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. Stay prepared, remain professional, continue learning, and never let rejection define your worth. Every “no” brings you one step closer to the opportunity that’s meant for you. Confidence begins the moment you decide to believe in yourself.
