BRB is a Christian Hip Hop (CHH) artist and music producer based in West Palm Beach, Florida, creating high-energy, atmospheric melodic trap designed to inspire listeners and point them toward faith. His journey as an independent artist has involved overcoming self-doubt, navigating personal hardships—including his parents’ divorce in 2020—and learning to trust God’s timing rather than measuring success through streams or viral numbers. Operating much of his career independently, BRB handles everything from music production and mixing to merchandise, video content, and building genuine connections with his audience, setting himself apart through authentic storytelling and faith-driven rap. With his 14-track album TRUST HIS PLAN now available across streaming platforms and live performances planned across Florida, BRB continues to encourage others to stay consistent, serve their communities, and trust God’s plan.

Here is the Q&A session we had with BRB.

BRB As Cover Story Interview – September 2026 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

“I’m BRB, a Christian Hip Hop (CHH) artist and music producer based out of West Palm Beach, Florida. I make high-energy, atmospheric melodic trap built to inspire people, point them toward faith, and remind them that God’s timing is always bigger than our own plans.”

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

Building an independent music career from the ground up while navigating life, work, and personal expectations has come with its share of pressure. The biggest hurdle has been overcoming self-doubt and the temptation to measure success by worldly metrics like stream counts or viral algorithm numbers. Learning to surrender my own timeline and trust God’s process, even when things felt stagnant behind the scenes, has been my greatest test and inspiration. I also have dealt with challenging times such as my parents divorce in 2020 that partially inspired my song ‘Never Alone’ featuring rising artist De La Cruz.

What do people usually not know about you?

Most people see the live stage performances and polished tracks, but they don’t see the full DIY operation behind the scenes. I run every angle of my brand myself, from engineering and mixing vocals in FL Studio to designing merchandise, editing long-form video content, and directly building real-world relationships with every listener.

What sets you apart from others?

My focus is on intentionality and depth over mass followings. In an industry obsessed with quick attention, I prioritize high-intent, personal connections with my supporters. Stylistically, I blend raw, authentic storytelling about real-life struggles with modern melodic trap production, showing that faith-driven music can sound as fresh and competitive as anything in the culture. Simply put, I make rap that redeems.

What are your upcoming major events?

I recently released my 14-track independent album, TRUST HIS PLAN, which is live across all streaming platforms. Right now, I’m focused on promoting the project through live performance sets across Florida (including upcoming local events like Sanctified Live, my headlining event on September 19).

What expert advice would you like to give?

Focus on serving the people right in front of you instead of chasing anonymous numbers. If you build genuine relationships, stay consistent with your craft, and keep your identity anchored in God rather than public perception, the right doors will open naturally at the right time. Trust His plan.
