Aurora De Luchi was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with Ms. Luchi.
How do you introduce yourself?
Aurora De Luchi: Hi! My name is Aurora De Luchi, I am 22 years old and I am an Italian born actress and model based in London.
How was the transition from your childhood into adulthood/teenage and what good and bad things do you remember?
Aurora De Luchi: I lived a life of multiple transitions since I could remember. My father is an official in the Carabinieri, the Italian paramilitary, and because of that our family had to frequently move and restart our lives elsewhere. The most notable change was in 2014 when, for the first time, we moved to a foreign country, the United Arab Emirates, and we lived there for three years.
I found it harder as a child, but as I grew older I appreciated it more, because I saw it as an opportunity to change my life for the better. Plus, the fact that my parents tried their best to support both me and my sister throughout this helped too. Even though I don’t know if I would do the exact same with own kids in the future, I don’t regret the way I was raised because, without these experiences, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
Struggle – What hardships have you faced during your life?
Aurora De Luchi: There have been a few hardships that I had experienced throughout my life, but one that has influenced me quite a bit might be how people were always trying to put me in a box personality wise.
It was quite frustrating, because whenever I wanted to prove them that I was more than they were perceiving me to be, I was almost always “shut down” and told things like “Oh stop it, you’re not like that”. What’s ironic is that it was mostly people my age, instead of the adults, being the patronising ones towards me. I admit that I used to hold some grudges in the past, but I don’t do that anymore.
What things people usually do not know about you?
Aurora De Luchi: Even though I am originally from Italy, I am not really passionate about cooking. Mind you, I love eating and trying new foods from different countries, but I just don’t like the hustle of preparing something, especially when it’s a new recipe. I am always scared that it might not turn good and I would have to throw everything away. So for now I just stick to the basics, even though I would feel quite accomplished if I managed to host a whole dinner party with dishes cooked by yours truly 😉
What make you unique from your competitors in the industry and life?
Aurora De Luchi: I lived quite an unusual life, where I had to always reinvent my identity many times due to my constant moving, which ultimately has resulted in me not being particularly scared to enter new social circles, even though they might be very different from me. I like meeting new people from various walks of life and learn about their journey. And the fact that all this happened in just 22 years of living proves how unique my experience is, both in this industry and life in general.
What are your major upcoming events?
Aurora De Luchi: I have just joined Twilight Casting, which I am quite happy about as I was thinking of getting into an agency for a good while, in order to boost my career options. I am very excited to be working with them, and I am really looking forward to see what the future will hold for me. Furthermore, on a more personal level, I am hoping to travel to the UAE before the end of this year, because I haven’t been there ever since I have left (2017) and I have been truly missing it.
What are your diet preference and physical measurements?
Aurora De Luchi: Being an Italian, I obviously love my country’s cuisine, especially because every region has its own traditional, rich culinary history, which I find truly astonishing. No matter where you’re from or what you’re used to eat, there’s always at least one dish that can fit everybody’s palate. Even though I love to eat, I tend to be quite slim and petite in appearance, but with some curves added to the mix. I’m 5’2.9” and 53 ish kg, so I guess I am quite balanced.
What expert advice would you like to share?
Aurora De Luchi: Expert is a huge reach, I am still trying to figure a lot of stuff out, both professionally and in my personal life. But if there is anything that I have learnt is that every individual is a world of its own, full of contrasts. So my advice would be to not be afraid of taking control of your own narrative, and being more of what other people might perceive you to be.
