Amy Shahzad is the creator behind Shahzad Nest and a mother of four who shares fashion, food, family life, and everyday moments with an intentionally relatable approach. While motherhood led her to question her identity beyond being needed by others, creating content became a meaningful space that was uniquely hers. Naturally shy and an overthinker, Amy embraces the imperfect side of ordinary life, choosing authenticity over presenting a picture of perfection. As she continues growing Shahzad Nest and partnering with brands that align with her audience, she encourages others to stop waiting for everything to be figured out and simply start.
Here is the Q&A session we had with Amy Shahzad.
Amy Shahzad As Cover Story Interview – September 2026 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
I’m Amy Shahzad, the creator behind Shahzad Nest and a mom of four. I share what I’m wearing, what I’m cooking, things I’m loving, and a lot of the very normal life happening in between. I want my page to feel like you’re catching up with a friend.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I think one of the harder parts of motherhood has been figuring out who I am outside of being needed by everyone. I love being a mom, but somewhere along the way I realized I needed something that was mine too. Creating became that for me.
What do people usually not know about you?
I’m much quieter in real life than you would probably expect from someone who puts herself on the internet. I’m naturally shy, I overthink almost everything, and I will absolutely rewrite a three word caption twelve times.
What sets you apart from others?
Probably that I’m not trying to make ordinary life look more impressive than it is. I’ll wear the same pants three times in a week, make a ridiculously easy dinner and tell you when something I tried was a complete fail. I’d rather be relatable than perfect!
What are your upcoming major events?
Right now I’m focused on growing Shahzad Nest and working with more brands that actually make sense for my life and my audience. I’m still figuring out exactly where all of this will take me, and I actually like that part.
What expert advice would you like to give?
I wouldn’t call myself an expert, but if I could give one piece of advice, it would be to stop waiting until everything feels perfectly figured out. Start the thing you keep thinking about. A beautiful life can also be a really ordinary one.
