How do you introduce yourself?
My name is Miss Stevie, I am a talk show hostess fashion and beauty influencer and I write for the fashion column of one of the greatest publications in the world original magazine UK. Born and raised in rural South Carolina. I have four brothers and two sisters one of my sisters passed away in 2018. I am one of the youngest I came from a pretty big family.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
The hardships that I’ve had growing up is being in the queer community being black grown up walking into my truth as a black transgender woman in the South where it is ultra conservative and very religious. I have been doing this talk show style by sleeping for 10 plus years and shattering glass ceilings as one of the first black trans women in rural. Bible belt South Carolina to make it past 30 because most black trans women don’t make it to see 30 because of transphobia and societal pressure from people who are queerophobic or transphobic that has been an obstacle being teased for walking in my light in my truth where’s now being 32 years old you grow a thicker skin it has not been an easy journey.
What do people usually not know about you?
Something that people don’t know about me is that I am a foodie. I love to cook I love to bake as well too not just fashion and beauty but I’m heavy on home decor also. I love putting things together, I love creating looking at different designs and patterns and going back to different time periods. I love thrift stores and antique stores and flea markets and yard sales and Goodwill I stay there in those stores.
What sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from others that have talk shows and platforms is the fact that I combine fashion music politics beauty all of the things that people love into one. I do it in a hip witty poignant light-hearted way with a little bit of humor that keeps people on the edge of their seats and I do it with style and elegance my mother has always taught me that the way you carry yourself is how people will see you and I’ve learned to do that in style.
What are your upcoming major events?
Upcoming major events well more collaborations on the show. Of course more articles we just went through New York Fashion week. So preparing for my next season of the show coming up season 22 and 23 which will be in the New Year 2027.
What expert advice would you like to give?
The expert advice that I would give would be be the best version of yourself don’t limit yourself on what you can do your ability never doubt yourself which is something that I’ve learned to stop doing and to also stay true to who you are never dim your light for anyone else continue to shine and be the brightest one in the room.
