With a degree in fashion, merchandise, and design from London, Sara returned to establish her own design house, Sublime By Sara, building a remarkable 20-year journey in the fashion industry and earning multiple nominations for Best Ready-to-Wear Designer. Guided by a steadfast “less is more” philosophy, her signature cuts, classic color palette, and elegant draping reflect her commitment to creating effortless, comfortable fashion for women. While the loss of her mother remains one of her greatest personal challenges, Sara continues forward with determination, trusting her instincts and staying true to her creative vision. As she looks toward expanding Sublime into new cities and eventually showcasing internationally, she encourages emerging designers to develop a distinctive signature and pursue their craft with passion rather than following the noise around them.

Sara Shahid As Cover Story Interview – September 2026 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
After a degree in fashion and merchandise and design from London I came back to set up my own design house Sublime By Sara. I have spent 20 years in this industry. With many fashion nominations for best ready to wear designer. I have truly continued to live by the Sublime design philosophy and am passionate about what I do and shall continue to this journey.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
On the work end I would not like to call it hardship it’s the business. Some years have been tougher than others but I have been consistently moving on. On a personal front loosing my mother has been the greatest loss. That did affect many aspects of my life . However I continue with determination as she would want me to.
What do people usually not know about you?
I like to keep it real. I am a determined, very focused but also very sensitive person. I follow my instincts and do believe in synchronicity. Work with my heart and follow what feels right.
What sets you apart from others?
I have always worked on a less is more design philosophy. I have stuck to it despite so much noise around me. I shut it down and keep following my fashion belief.
Fabulous cuts , my classic colour palette and drape. Clothes made by a woman , a mother for other woman to feel effortlessly elegant and comfortable.
What are your upcoming major events ?
We are planning to take Sublime to other cities and soon plan to show internationally.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Follow your design belief , have a signature look . Even after years people recognise my work . Don’t follow the noise and work with passion . Build a brand with a distinctive design philosophy
