Kayla Hart As Cover Story Interview – August 2026 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

Hi! I’m Kayla Hart, an actress and model based in Hawaiʻi. I’m passionate about telling stories that make people laugh, cry, or see the world a little differently. When I’m not auditioning or on set, I’m a business owner, an artist and a mom, and all have taught me resilience, creativity, and how to stay grounded while chasing big dreams.

I’m naturally curious, a little goofy once you get to know me, and I love connecting with people from all walks of life. Whether I’m building a business or stepping into a new character, I believe the best opportunities come from showing up, working hard, being authentic and having the will to keep learning.

At the end of the day, I hope people see someone who works hard, stays kind, and isn’t afraid to dream big.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

Like most people, my journey hasn’t been a straight line. I’ve faced moments where life asked me to be stronger than I thought I could be. Becoming a mother, building a business from the ground up, and continuing to pursue acting at the same time has meant learning how to balance responsibility with ambition.

One thing I’ve always believed is that hard work has value. I’m not afraid to roll up my sleeves and do whatever it takes to build the life I want.

For years, I’ve spent my days cleaning homes—scrubbing toilets, mopping floors, making beds, and helping families care for their spaces. It isn’t glamorous, but it’s honest work, and I’m genuinely proud of it. That business has given me the opportunity to support my family while also investing in my biggest dream: acting.

I’ve learned that no job is beneath you if it’s helping you become the person you’re meant to be. Every early morning, every long day, and every challenge has helped me appreciate this journey even more. When I step onto a set, I don’t take the opportunity for granted because I know what it took to get there.

Looking back, I’m grateful for every difficult season because it has made me more resilient, more compassionate, and reminded me that dreams are built one day at a time.

What do people usually not know about you?

People are often surprised to learn that I’m actually pretty goofy. I love making people laugh, and I don’t take myself too seriously. If I’m comfortable around someone, you’ll probably see me doing silly voices, laughing at myself, or finding humor in everyday moments.

I think because of photos or social media, people sometimes assume I’m quiet or serious, but I’m really just someone who enjoys genuine connections and making others feel comfortable.

Another thing people may not know is that I’m endlessly curious. I love learning, trying new things, and stepping outside my comfort zone. Whether it’s building a business, raising my family, or pursuing acting, I’ve realized that growth usually happens when you’re willing to take chances.

My hidden hobby that not a lot of people know about me, is that I love to hand craft mermaid dolls. Something about just zoning out on that gives me comfort in this crazy world.

At my core, I’m someone who believes life is meant to be lived fully—with kindness, creativity, and a little bit of humor along the way.

What sets you apart from others?

I think what sets me apart is that I’m willing to do the work that happens long before anyone notices.

I’ve never expected opportunities to simply appear. I’ve built a business from the ground up, spent years cleaning homes, and worked hard to create the financial freedom to keep pursuing my dream of acting. I’ve learned that there is dignity in every job, and I believe hard work is one of the greatest investments you can make in yourself.

At the same time, I try to bring kindness and curiosity into everything I do. I love meeting new people, hearing their stories, and stepping into different perspectives. I think that’s one of the reasons acting feels so natural to me—it’s an opportunity to understand people on a deeper level.

I’m also someone who genuinely enjoys learning. Every audition, every set, every conversation is a chance to grow. I don’t feel like I’ve “made it”—I feel like I’m just getting started, and that excitement motivates me every day.

What are your upcoming major events?

I’m incredibly excited about what’s ahead. I’ll be involved in a couple of exciting projects here in Hawaiʻi that I’m looking forward to sharing more about when the time is right.

Alongside that, I’ll continue auditioning, growing as an actress, and building meaningful connections within the film industry. Every opportunity is another chance to learn, tell new stories, and challenge myself creatively.

Outside of acting, I’ll continue growing my business while balancing motherhood—both of which keep me grounded and constantly inspire me.

I’m a big believer that the best chapters are often the ones you can’t fully talk about yet, and I have a feeling this is just the beginning.

What expert advice would you like to give?

If there’s one piece of advice I’d give, it’s this: don’t wait until you feel ready.

Whether you’re pursuing acting, starting a business, or chasing any dream, there will never be a perfect moment. The people who succeed aren’t always the most talented—they’re often the ones who keep showing up when things get difficult.

Never let pride stop you from doing honest work. I’ve scrubbed toilets while chasing my acting career, and I’m proud of that. Every job taught me discipline, gratitude, and resilience. No dream is too big, and no honest work is too small if it’s helping you build the life you want.

Be kind to people, stay curious, work hard, and don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. Success isn’t something that happens overnight—it’s built through thousands of small decisions that no one else sees.
