How do you introduce yourself?
My name is Dana Zaki, I am grateful to be born from Egypt and have many interesting roots from places such as Spain, Libya, Albania and more. I am a co-founder of the GEM fashion; a brand that is the definition of classy and cool elegance, @thegemfashion on instagram!!! I am currently studying in the American University of Dubai as a business managment major whilst being a MsandMrsmiddle east contestant and a model.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Some hardships i have gone through life we’re not knowing my boundaries and my worth, seeing that everyone was better than me where I now see that after setting boundaries and knowing myself, that no one else can tell me who I am, and I continue to do the best for me, and I hope in the future I establish this more.
What do people usually not know about you?
People do not know that I delete social media everyday after posting, speak three languages of Spanish, Arabic, and English, and that I love music with an 80’s feeling
What sets you apart from others?
I believe that I am an old soul, even though I do have a social media prescense I tend not to involve my days on social media, as I believe we learn the most and grow when we are off the phones being present in every moment. I also believe I am different in the aspect of not putting my identity or who I believe to be in a box, every thought that I don’t like I make sure to have my actions do the complete opposite, i do not compete with anyone but my own mind.
What are your upcoming major events?
I have the ms and mrs middle east competition in September which I hope to win to provide awarness on the types of videos on youtube; danabaseil and shorter videos on instagram: danazakiofficial, that I do to help people learn exactly how to discipline their mind and what tools to use for different defects of character.
What expert advice would you like to give?
I would love to give advice on how to create your own desired reality, train your brain, trick your brain into thinking how you would actually want to think, tools for different negative emotions such as anger, basically demonstrating that every emotion or feeling is information vital to growth.
