Overcoming a childhood marked by illness, family dysfunction, and financial hardship, he transformed adversity into a lifelong mission of inspiring others to discover and develop their unique gifts. How do you introduce yourself?

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

Growing up, I witnessed alcoholism, drug addiction, aggression, and lots of dysfunction. To top it off, I constantly struggled with sickness in the forms of asthma and allergies, which included many emergency room visits and hospital stays during my childhood and even into my early adult life. Lastly, I experienced significant financial hardship for a lengthy season during my journey.

What do people usually not know about you?

They are not aware of the many hats I have worn and roles I have served in throughout my professional career. Here is a complete list: educator (elementary/parent), speaker, author, songwriter, producer, artist, consultant, business owner/entrepreneur, janitor, engineer (audio/video), trainer, case manager, consultant, and program director. Another amazing fact people don’t know about me is that I played for an AAU basketball team named the Louisiana Spartans which won 5 national championships.

What sets you apart from others?

The fact that I am multifaceted, highly driven, and resilient because of my various skills, experiences, and challenges I have overcome. Additionally, I am trained in a variety of areas, enabling me to create a variety of products and provide a plethora of services.

What are your upcoming major events?

I will be releasing music singles over the next few months and an LP in September entitled Undeniable Journey. It will feature multiple genres: R&B, Hip-hop, Neo-soul, and Pop and will be available on all major streaming platforms. What expert advice would you like to give?

Search for your passion, and it will lead you to your purpose– my philosophy is that all men/women are created with a skill and a mission to fulfill. As we travel through life, we must be aware of the subtle signs and confirmations that point us in the direction towards our destiny. Analyzing our gifts/talents, desires, and areas of effectiveness will enable us to find the space and place we were created to occupy. Here are four questions that can assist you in finding your strongest talent, passion and purpose:

1. What am I skilled at doing?

2. What do I love and enjoy doing?

3. What is a skill I utilize or an activity I engage in that others really enjoy and compliment me on?

4. What is a skill I use or an activity I engage in that I can do on a volunteer basis (receive no monetary compensation) and still feel satisfaction and complete fulfillment?

If you have a skill or if there is an activity you engage in that answers all four questions, then you have discovered what I call your “dominant gift”. As you utilize this skill, you will maintain passion, fulfill your life’s mission/purpose, and experience joy and happiness.
