Raigan Kay As Cover Story Interview – July 2026 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

My names Raigan Kay.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

My freshman year of high school I developed multiple health complications. I started not being able to breathe anytime I’d eat, I would lose my memory, and for me time stopped that year. I almost feel as though I lost a few years considering it’s all a blur to me now. I went through years of unanswered prayers and constant grief wondering why I couldn’t just be like every other person. All through Highschool I struggled with getting picked on by the girls in the area. Often times I would come home crying in the middle of my health issues due to always feeling like the odd one out. I didn’t realize that good would come out of it all along. After years of praying I finally got the answers I needed from a doctor around the area. I was finally healed the end of my Junior year of Highschool. Though I delt with bullying all through high school, I always remembered that the grief I was feeling was only temporary. I remember many times I sat alone in my classes or even eat in the bathroom at lunch just so I didn’t sit by myself. I remember the times where I didn’t have a partner so I told the teacher “it’s okay, I can be by myself”. I didn’t understand why I felt this way, but it all makes sense now. God had a plan for me, even when I didn’t realize it.

What do people usually not know about you?

Many people don’t know that I struggled with confidence throughout high school. I would always put on fronts even throughout the times where I felt left out. Many had no idea the amount of bullying I was put through or the things people would say to me when no one else was around. I would say many people also don’t realize that I give my everything to the things I want to accomplish. Everything I do, I strive to be the best at. In return I’m also very hard on myself if I can’t achieve the goals I want in the time span I set for myself.

What sets you apart from others?

When I want something accomplished I will complete the task regardless of time. I’m not always the best with timing but whether it’s lunchtime, 1 am, or 5 am, I will make sure to do the task. I also have a dreamer mentality which makes me shoot for the stars. It might not always be easy but who said easy is fun.

What are your upcoming major events?

I am now working to release my upcoming songs. Goldfish will be my first song released, which I wrote on my hardships from being bullied. I’m on a break from modeling currently after recently walking in New York Fashion week and coming back from a Paris European showcase.

What expert advice would you like to give?

Don’t quit on your dreams. People will try to knock you down. It shows that you’re relevant in others lives because if you were irrelevant then no one would care. Work hard for what you want. When you achieve your goals help other people achieve theirs. One of my favorite songs is Humble and Kind by Tim McGraw. I love the song because one of the lines says “when you get where you’re going don’t forget turn back around. Help the next one in line.” Don’t get conceited just because you’re accomplishing things. Treat people how you would want to be treated back when you were nobody. At the end of the day, keep your head up. We live in an imperfect world with imperfect people. Pray when you’re sad, pray when you’re happy and rejoice because everyday is not promised.
