Stephanie Brown As Cover Story Interview – June 2026 Magazine Edition
Stephanie Brown
Stephanie is a CIPD-qualified coach, trainer, and co-founder of Mindset Plus Mastery, where she helps professional women with chronic illness navigate the complex intersection of identity, performance, and wellbeing. Drawing from her own experience of building a career and business while living with a chronic condition, she developed the TRIUMPH® Framework to support women who refuse to choose between their health and their ambitions. Passionate about understanding the psychology behind lasting change, Stephanie combines coaching expertise with lived experience to create meaningful transformation. Through her work, she empowers women to stop waiting for the “right time” to thrive and instead embrace support that recognizes their full potential and reality.
How do you introduce yourself?
I’m Stephanie, a CIPD-qualified coach, trainer, and co-founder of Mindset Plus Mastery, a coaching and training company built around our proprietary TRIUMPH® Framework. I work specifically with professional women living with chronic illness who are navigating the gap between who they are at work and what their body is asking of them. My work sits at the intersection of identity, performance, and wellbeing and it’s deeply personal, because I’m living this journey myself.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Being diagnosed with a chronic illness while building a career and a business was a defining turning point. The medical system tells you to manage your condition — no one tells you how to manage your identity when everything you built your confidence around begins to shift. I spent a long time trying to push through rather than adapt. Learning to lead from that experience, rather than despite it, changed everything. It’s now the foundation of everything I do.
What do people usually not know about you?
That I’m just as fascinated by the psychology behind why people stay stuck as I am by the coaching conversation itself. I recently completed my NLP Practitioner qualification, and it deepened something I’ve always believed that lasting change isn’t about willpower, it’s about understanding the patterns running underneath. People also tend to assume the TRIUMPH® Framework came from a textbook. It didn’t. It came from living it.
What sets you apart from others?
I’m not coaching from the other side of a recovery story. I’m a professional woman with a chronic illness, still in it, still building and that’s exactly who my clients are. Most coaching either celebrates your ambition or acknowledges your illness. Very few spaces hold both at the same time without flinching. That’s what I do. The TRIUMPH® Framework was built for women who refuse to choose between their health and their potential, because that was never a fair choice to begin with.
What are your upcoming major events?
We’re in a season of deep building right now. The focus is on the women already in our programmes and making sure the work delivers real, lasting change. For me, that’s more meaningful than any single event.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Stop waiting until you feel better to take up space. Chronic illness doesn’t pause your life, and your ambition was never the problem. The women I work with are some of the most capable people I’ve ever encountered, they don’t need to be fixed, they need a framework that was actually built for the life they’re living. My advice is simple: find support that sees all of you. Not just the parts that are easy to coach.
