Stacey Mina As Cover Story Interview – April 2026 Magazine Edition

Introduction

Stacey Mina is a travel creator and storyteller whose path into the industry has been anything but conventional. A former karate world champion, she first learned discipline and resilience long before stepping into the world of travel. After a solo journey across Spain shifted her perspective, she began sharing her experiences in a way that feels honest, immersive, and accessible. Today, her work centres on affordable travel and meaningful experiences, offering a grounded, relatable take on seeing the world while encouraging others to step outside their comfort zone and experience more for themselves.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

I wouldn’t say hardships in the traditional sense, but I’ve lived with anxiety and ADHD for as long as I can remember. For a long time, that looked like overthinking everything and doubting myself. But over time, I’ve learnt how to understand it and work with it instead of against it.

Now, it actually feels like a strength. My anxiety makes me more aware and in tune with things, and my ADHD gives me that ability to really lock in and create when I’m passionate about something.

What do people usually not know about you?

Most people don’t know that I’m a former karate world champion for Great Britain. It’s something that feels like a completely different chapter of my life now, but it definitely shaped who I am, especially when it comes to discipline and resilience.

What sets you apart from others?

I think it’s the way I share things. I don’t just focus on where to go, I focus on how it feels to experience it. A lot of my content comes from real moments and emotions rather than trying to make everything look perfect. I also think because of my own experiences with anxiety, I see things differently. I know what it feels like to want more from life but feel held back, so I naturally create from that place. It’s not just about travel, it’s about showing people what’s possible in a way that feels real.

What are your upcoming major events ?

I wouldn’t say I have one big “event” coming up, it’s more that everything is building at once right now. I’m creating a lot more content, working with brands I genuinely love, and focusing on growing Minas Journeys into something bigger. There’s a lot happening behind the scenes that I’m really excited about… it’s one of those phases where things are starting to click.

What expert advice would you like to give?

Honestly, just start. You don’t need to feel ready or have everything figured out. You learn so much more by doing than waiting for the perfect moment.

And don’t try to be perfect, people connect with what’s real. Just be yourself and figure it out as you go.
