Sandra Walters Exclusive Interview – March 2026 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

I introduce myself as none other than “Sandra Walters.” I am a Woman of faith; former Educator/Administrator of many years; and a Professional Actress having appeared in numerous theatrical productions, tv/films and commercials. I have Agents in Los Angeles and Arizona.

Prior to pursuing my Acting career, I taught 4th and 5th grade ESL students (Spanish speaking) and was blessed to retire early as an Assistant Principal for middle school students.  My educational background and experience was the pathway to pursuing my dream of Acting. Whether I’m teaching or acting, my motto will never change: “It’s not about us. It’s about giving back to the community and inspiring others to keep reaching for their dreams.”

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

What struggles have I endured? I could speak about growing up clingy and being everybody’s friend; a perfectionist, or a dark time in my life where nothing mattered, BUT “Having lost my father in 1995 who was killed tragically in an accident; and my mother (2024) after a 2 year battle with Cancer,” …… Life is precious and not promised to any of us. I truly believe in Darwinian Theory, “Only the strongest survive.” No matter what, we have to keep moving forward and treat others the way we want to be treated.

I believe in prayer and with God all things are possible.  The joy that I have the world didn’t give it to me and the world can’t take it away.” My favorite scripture is Romans 8:28: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

What do people usually not know about you?

Most people probably don’t know that I’m highly educated with a BA in Theatre Arts (University of Southern California) Masters Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership/Administration (Northern Arizona University) ESL, Reading Specialist and Drama endorsements and bilingual.

Integration of drama into the curriculum, while teaching, enhanced learning and definitely impacted my students scores. I’m an educator first and foremost and enjoy working with children. People also probably don’t know I was acknowledged as “Tutor of the Month” and presently tutor children with special needs who do not do well in regular/alternative schools when I’m not filming. People probably don’t know I won 1st place in the Arizona Modeling and Top Talent Competition….and my first acting job (became SAGe) was on “Unsolved Mysteries” with Robert Stack…..”The Lost Dutchman’s Mine” (Julia Thomas of Phoenix).

What sets you apart from others?

What sets me apart from others is the “light” God has given to me from birth. This light connects, inspires and encourages others to be the best in whatever field they are pursuing and to “Never give up.” Self worth and self respect is not optional. If nobody believes in you…YOU should! Everybody is not meant to “sit down and eat at your table.”

Pastor Isaac Pitre said one Sunday, “If everybody likes you, watch your back.”

What are your upcoming major events?

This year has gotten off to an amazing start…blessed to be working and busy! In January booked 2 films and a wonderful stage show; and February booked 3 upcoming short films…I can’t complain!

What expert advice would you like to give?

Most successful people have one thing in common. They have worked hard to attain their goals and have experienced many hardships on their journey but yet stayed the course.  Focus on building your brand; study; keep your circle small and no matter what “Never give up.”
