How do you introduce yourself?
Ashley Borzellino, Miss North America 2025, making me the first Canadian to win this international title. I am the titleholder of Miss Canada 2023, Canada’s longest running national pageant since 1946. Graduate of Civil Engineering Technology, with over seven years of Construction Inspection experience. I use my pageant platform to advocate for Women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and Women in Construction.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I grew up with very humble beginnings; coming from a hardworking Italian family. Everything in my life has been earned through perseverance, determination and dedication.
What do people usually not know about you?
I am a pure lover with a massive heart, I tend to put others needs before my own. I have always been selfless and I love helping people around me in any way that I can.
What sets you apart from others?
My fearlessness! No matter how terrified I am about a result, I will still go after what I feel is right. I take every opportunity life brings and try to use each experience as a lesson.
What are your upcoming major events ?
I have several large events taking place in March to honour International Women’s Day and Women in Construction week. I have a wide variety of events coming up, from keynote presentations to MC events!
What expert advice would you like to give?
If you stay in your safe space, you will never grow. In order to reach your maximum potential, you must step outside your comfort zone. Some people are afraid to take risks, but life is all about risk taking. Go for it, you never know what might come from your leap of faith. Worst case, it is a learning opportunity!
