How do you introduce yourself?
Hello, I am Maria Venuto.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Growing up I was very shy to perform on stage that I suffered from anxiety but as I got older I gained confidence and now singing is my passion – Also another hardship I’ve gone through in life was losing my mother. She died 5 years ago suddenly right after I spoke to her on the phone planning her birthday. I miss her everyday but she gave me the strength and courage to do what I love to do and she is the reason why I am where I am today.
What do people usually not know about you?
I can make trumpet sounds from my mouth and drums sounds from my mouth.
What sets you apart from others?
Being myself, I dont like jealousy and competition. Although we deal with that in the music business but focus on yourself.
What are your upcoming major events ?
- Feb13 I will be performing with my father at Patrizia’s Taverna on Staten Island
- Feb 27 I will also be performing with my father on Patrizia’s‘s Amboy Road on Staten Island
- April 5, I will be performing on a cruise with my father and uncles aboard the MSC Meraviglia
- June 28 I will be performing on a cruise aboard the MSC Seashore
- Feb7 I will be performing at Carnevale at Gargiulo’s of Brooklyn with my father and uncles
What expert advice would you like to give?
Never Give Up. You may be afraid at first but when you overcome it it’s the best feeling in the world because the saddest thing in life is wasted talent.
