Stephanie Swift (A Director, Realtor, Performer and Filmmaker) was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and here is the Q&A session we had with Stephanie.
Stephanie Swift As Cover Story Interview – January 2026 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
I’m Stephanie Swift – a director, realtor, performer and filmmaker based in Pittsburgh, PA. The love of my life and soulmate, Rick Dutrow, is also a realtor, actor and filmmaker. We formed our Production Company, S2 the S Pro in 2024. I’m fortunate to create films with my wonderful husband. We’ve been blessed to share the stage and screen since we met in 2015- 10 years has flown by and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2026 and beyond!
What hardships have you gone through in life?
I went through a lot of personal struggles in 2014. I had a severe concussion from a car accident and this was compounded by multiple concussions I had early on in my life. I had to go through extensive cognitive therapy as well as ocular and motor skills training. My family and friends (especially my husband) were supportive and helped me to get back on track. I was having some memorization struggles, but Rick helped me regain my confidence. I was able to return to stage and film work, which I had to put on the back burner for over a year.
What do people usually not know about you?
All things weather and aviation-related fascinate me. I studied Meteorology and have always been interested in weather (one of my biggest fears is being caught in a tornado!) in fact- my High School mascot was the Golden Tornado- “Toughie”. I do not have a fear of heights as I’ve been skydiving three times, I used to work at an Aviation Maintenance School AND I just flew my first single-engine airplane. One day, maybe it’ll be a flying car LOL!
What sets you apart from others?
I’m highly motivated, I work hard to persevere over advsersity, and I have a lot of diverse skillsets. I strive for excellence in all I do. I am a consummate student and want to learn as much as I can about filmmaking. I’m planning on continuing to elevate my career as a realtor and educational professional while balancing performing and filmmaking.
What are your upcoming major events?
“The Balloon”, S2 the S Pro’s film I directed, has won over 30 Awards Worldwide, and will be ending its festival run. In 2025, we shot and are now editing our Horror/Comedy/Thriller “Ranchaphobia!” with a 2026 release date. I have several feature films that I am looking forward to the roles I play as well as singing gigs with C.C. & Company Band. In 2026, I became the Vice President of Women in Film and Media Pittsburgh and will continue my role as Director of Education. I am excited to continue to learn and grow with WIFM to thrive beyond 2025. It will be a busy but exciting year!
What expert advice would you like to give?
Only give your attention and energy to people or projects that propel you and are fulfilling. Choose these wisely and trust your gut; make sure you take time to rejuvenate your mind and body. Look for the beauty and light- work towards making a positive impact in all that you touch. Don’t be afraid to take a few steps back to move in the right direction. Aline yourself with the truth and never compromise your personal integrity. Finally, have an attitude of gratitude and love!
