Bassona Elmassry As Cover Story Interview – January 2026 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
I’m an Egyptian hijabi model, certified makeup artist, and special effects artist whose work bridges fashion, beauty, modesty and transformation. Rooted in culture and guided by purpose, I use style as a form of storytelling—one that reflects elegance, confidence, and a message of peace, love, and modesty.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
My journey has been shaped by resilience and faith in my vision. Navigating the fashion and beauty industries while honoring my cultural identity and values required strength and patience. I faced moments of limitation and misunderstanding, but those experiences refined my voice and reinforced my belief that authenticity is power.
What do people usually not know about you?
Beyond the visuals, I’m deeply intentional and grounded. I approach every project with calm focus and respect for the creative process. My Egyptian heritage strongly influences my sense of beauty—timeless, powerful, and rooted in meaning rather than excess.
What sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is my multidimensional perspective. As an Egyptian hijabi model and Makeup artist, I understand transformation from every angle—on camera and behind the scenes. I bring together cultural depth, technical expertise, and modern fashion. Being selected as a Top 5 in the Style Icon Contest affirmed that modesty, heritage, and innovation can coexist on a global stage.
What are your upcoming major events?
I’m expanding my creative presence through editorial features, fashion and beauty collaborations, and more projects that align with my vision of representation and elevated modest fashion. I’m entering a new chapter of growth with a global exposure this year hopefully to see my photos in the billboard this year with a big brand.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Honor who you are before trying to fit into an industry standard. When your work reflects your values, culture, and purpose, it carries lasting impact. Invest in your craft, lead with integrity, and remember that confidence, modesty, and creativity are powerful together.
