How do you introduce yourself?
I’m Tatiana Valentina, a curvy model, and content creator. My modeling journey has taken me through everything from swimwear and lingerie to high-fashion couture, with print photography also being an important part of my career. What I’m most recognized for is the personality I bring to the stage—infusing life into every look while honoring the designer’s vision. I truly love stepping into their world and bringing their creations to life. Modeling has also opened doors for me globally, allowing me to travel, collaborate, and serve as a brand ambassador for a variety of companies along the way.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
This industry definitely comes with its challenges, but I see them as lessons that have shaped me. Rejection at castings can feel so personal, but over time I realized every “no” just brings me closer to the right opportunity. The pressure around body image is also very real, yet it’s taught me to redefine beauty on my own terms—focusing on strength, health, and confidence rather than comparison. In the end, those struggles have made me not just a better model, but a stronger woman.
What do people usually not know about you?
People usually see the glamorous side of modeling—the runway looks, photoshoots, and travel—but what they don’t always know is that I’m actually happiest in the simple moments. I love being home with my husband and our dogs, just enjoying that sense of peace and comfort. I’m also big on being outdoors—whether it’s a walk, a hike, or just soaking up fresh air, it’s where I feel most grounded. Behind the scenes, I’m the goofy one cracking jokes, FaceTiming family, or finding a cozy coffee spot in whatever city I’m in. Those little things are what keep me balanced in such a fast-paced industry.
What sets you apart from others?
I’m proud to be a curvy model in an industry that hasn’t always embraced all body types, and I use the runway as a chance to show that beauty and confidence come in every shape. For me, it’s not just about wearing the clothes—it’s about bringing the designer’s vision to life and connecting with the audience in a way that feels genuine. I think people remember me not only for the look, but for the presence I bring, whether that’s on stage, in front of the camera, or behind the scenes. At the end of the day, I truly love what I do, and that passion and authenticity shine through.
What are your upcoming major events?
I have a busy season ahead with fall/winter fashion week kicking off in Texas this October. I’ll be at Dallas Fashion Week shows this upcoming week as well as Austin Fashion Week later in the month, which I’m really excited about. Right now, I’m also in rehearsals for upcoming shows in Dallas and Houston for November. Specifically November 9, I’ll be part of Petals and Pavement—that’s definitely one to come out and see if you’re in Dallas.
What expert advice would you like to give?
The best advice I can give is to always stay teachable. You don’t have to know it all—in fact, none of us do. It’s okay to make mistakes, because every misstep is an opportunity to grow. Even the greatest in any industry have a coach. The more open you are to learning, the stronger and more resilient you become, not just in modeling, but in life.
