How do you introduce yourself?
My name is MIU SAKURAI! I am an artist, radio personality and model in Japan. And I have also participated in various beauty pageant contests! In the recent contest where I won the Grand Prix at the Japanese competition Miss Eco japan International 2025 and represented Japan, The first Japanese to win the United Nations sponsored Miss ECO INTERNATIONAL 2025 (held in Egypt), the world’s 7th most prestigious beauty pageant in the past 10 years! ! MISS ECO ASIA 2025! I also participated in MISS UNIVERSAL QUEEN 2022 Grand Prix (Philippines), MISS GLOBAL WORLD 2022 Semi-Grand Prix (Indonesia), and MISS FREEDOM OF THE WORLD 2022 (Kosovo). I also sang and danced as an artist for the fashion show MELAKA FASHION WEEK 2023 (Malaysia), as a judge for the kids’ dance contest EAST JAWA INTERNATIONAL CULTURE FESTIVAL 2023 (Indonesia), and as an award winner for INTERNATIONAL FASHION &LEISURE AWARD 2023 (Malaysia), PEOPLE CHOICE AWARD 2023 (Indonesia) . I’m active not only in Japan but also overseas.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
When I started my activities in Japan, I belonged to an idol group and was not rich because the idol group salary was very few, but I had a lot of lessons and live performances, and I continued to work hard for my dreams. I was saved by food gifts from my supportive fans.
What do people usually not know about you?
I usually sing and dance, but sometimes I perform singing and dancing while performing Japanese drumming and fire dancing. I have a variety of performance challenges depending on what is required of me.
What sets you apart from others?
Being able to be many different characters. I am good at changing the atmosphere with hair color and makeup, so I can play any role.
What are your upcoming major events ?
In a limited-time collaboration with the long-established Japanese sweets store [Ono Tamagawado] ,Dorayaki (Doraemon’s Yummy Buns), MIU SAKURAI packaged Dorayaki will be sold online and at supermarkets. The theme song written by MIU SAKURAI will also be played at the sales corner.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Never give up on your dreams and try everything! If you don’t give up and work at it, you may be able to go from being a poor idol to a beauty pageant queen like I did. Your potential is too good for you to give up and close off. Neither you nor anyone else knows the possibilities or the future, so don’t give up until the possibilities and the future come to you, even if someone tells you something, disagrees with you, or tells you to give up!
