QuaShawna the musician was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with her.

How do you introduce yourself?
I’m QuaShawna – Music Artist from Germany Singer, Rapper, Songwriter & Podcaster born in South Korea and my passion is music.
With a deep love for music, QuaShawna is making her move & is not an unknown in the music scene as an independent artist. Her unique sensitivity to sound, rich cultural background and innovative approach to music make her a standout musician ready to elevate and pushing her career. Born in South Korea & raised in Germany, QuaShawna is a multifaceted vocalist, rapper, & songwriter, seamlessly blending this R&B, Rap & Soulsound. From a young age, QuaShawna discovered her passion for singing when she started to sing in a child’s choir, which blossomed into a true love for R&B & Hip-hop. In 2004, she collaborated with DJ team ‘Mystikal Tunes’. The DJ team were in search of a female vocalist to kickstart their productions.
She quickly gained recognition, performing at popular club events across Germany as the featured singer, rapper, and first female MC for Mystikal Tunes DJ Team. Her debut single, „My Apology“ & video in May 2021, which featured a captivating R&B ballad enriched with melodic vocals and lush arrangement. Then she released her song, „Get Your Swerve On“. This rap project revitalizes the crunk era, combining a commercial flair with a hard-hitting bassline and her distinctive rap style, promising to energize audiences worldwide. Followed by R&B song „Like You Did“ in July 2021 shows her varied skills again. In beginning of April this year she released her single „Shake That Thangalang“.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Losing my mom was one of the hardest things to deal with in my life. The feeling the whole worlds should stop rotating when life just moves and to find yourself again and focus on the positive things were a hard time to get back on track.
What do people usually not know about you?
I can’t eat too spicy food I start to feel nauseous and my heart start beating fast.
Plus I can be the clumsiest person you ever know haha I do have a regular full-time job so music is part of my free time plan but hope to be able invest more time into my music.
What sets you apart from others?
Think I’m diversified in my style. Not only doing one type of music. If I like the vibe I just like to jump on the beat. So therefore I do love the old 90/2000 RnB vibes but also Rap and Crunk and underground songs. Which influence still my own music.
What are your upcoming major events ?
At the moment I’m working on new music to be released soon. Coming up with some nice features and collaborations of talented artists.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Just be yourself and don’t try to fit into something if you are not. Be authentic in the way you do even if that means you might not fulfil people’s expectations or your path to success might take longer. As long as you stay true to yourself things will fall in place when it’s the right time. Also don’t take things and criticism too personal there will be always people who won’t support you. Do it for you!
