How do you introduce yourself?
I’m Kash Hovey — an actor, producer, and host based in Los Angeles. Growing up around the entertainment industry sparked my passion for storytelling at a young age. I pursued my interests academically, studying cinema at Los Angeles City College before graduating from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) with a BA in Communication Studies. After college, I began my professional journey working at WME, where I gained valuable insight into the business side of the industry. From there, I transitioned into acting and producing, working on projects like Jack and Cocaine, Undateable John, and a range of independent films. In recent years, I expanded into hosting with my talk show On Air with Kash, creating a platform to connect with artists across film, television, and music. Whether it’s through storytelling on screen or meaningful conversations with creatives, my goal remains to create authentic work that inspires and resonates.
What hardships have you gone through in your career to be where you are?
The entertainment industry demands a lot of perseverance. Early on, there were moments where projects fell through, opportunities disappeared, or recognition was slow to come. I had to learn patience, self-motivation, and how to handle rejection without letting it define me. Balancing creative passion with the business realities of Hollywood hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge helped shape me into a more resilient artist.
What do people usually not know about you?
Many people don’t realize that I started out working behind the scenes at one of the major talent agencies. That experience gave me a deeper appreciation for every aspect of production, not just what happens in front of the camera. It also taught me how crucial it is to build strong, lasting relationships in this industry.
What sets you apart from your competitors in the industry and in life?
I approach my work with authenticity and gratitude. I don’t view others as competitors — I believe there’s room for all of us to succeed. What drives me is staying true to my voice, telling stories that matter, and lifting others up along the way.
What are your upcoming major events – Unforgettable Moments or products/services or projects that you want to promote/inform?
I’m currently producing and starring in new indie films that I’m excited to share soon. On Air with Kash is expanding into a new season with even more incredible guests. I’m also collaborating with some talented creatives on projects that celebrate originality and diversity in storytelling. Stay tuned — there’s a lot coming this year!
What expert advice would you like to give?
Stay patient, stay prepared, and stay authentic. Success doesn’t happen overnight, and sometimes the detours lead to the most rewarding destinations. Keep honing your craft, nurture your relationships, and trust that your path will unfold the way it’s meant to.
