How do you introduce yourself?
I’m not ZOCHI, a multi-nominated Afropop artist from Regina, Saskatchewan, currently living in Toronto. I’m known as the Queen of Afropop in Canada and a real-life Nigerian Princess.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I’ve struggled with identity, especially growing up as a teenager in Nigeria as a lesbian woman. Coming from a royal bloodline with a rich traditional culture made it hard to express myself. I found my voice and faith in God when I moved to Canada.
What do people usually not know about you?
People don’t know that I really hate onions, and I’m a quiet person.
What sets you apart from others?
I align my gifts with my purpose, which is higher than self. This purpose-driven approach sets me apart.
What are your upcoming major events?
I’m releasing my first Merch on August 29th, 2025, and I’m on a publicity tour with interviews and podcast bookings. I’m also working on developing my artistry through CEAMA House in Toronto.
What expert advice would you like to give?
