How do you introduce yourself?
My name is Victoria Podesta. I’m an Australian athlete, model and screenwriter currently expanding my career in Los Angeles. My work blends creativity, discipline, and storytelling, and I’m passionate about developing projects that resonate with audiences on an emotional and visual level.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Like many creatives, my journey has included personal and professional challenges. I’ve navigated mental-health struggles, a lot of physical health struggles and periods of uncertainty, and moments where I had to rebuild my confidence from the ground up. Those experiences have shaped my resilience and informed my storytelling. They’ve taught me to stay grounded, focused, and deeply connected to the work I create.
What sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is my dual perspective: the mindset of a professional athlete combined with the vision of a screenwriter and model. I approach storytelling with both emotional depth and strategic thinking. My experiences allow me to connect authentically with audiences while maintaining a strong, professional work ethic. My favourite quote is: don’t get confused between what people say who you are and KNOW who you are.
What are your upcoming major events?
I’m currently developing new film projects, including expanding my short film concepts into full screenplays. I also have upcoming collaborations in Los Angeles within both the modelling and entertainment space, along with festival-related opportunities for my recent film work.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Stay committed to your purpose, even in seasons of doubt. Success in any creative field comes from consistency, professionalism, and the courage to remain authentic. Protect your mental well-being, surround yourself with the right people, and never apologise for evolving.
