How do you introduce yourself?
Susan Rochester Zucconi. But many call me Miss Sue.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
My parents’ death, especially my Mother passing away at a young age 61. Being a single Mother, two different times, survivor of an abusive husband, and working two jobs to rise up again and bought my first home!
What do people usually not know about you?
I have worn many hats in my lifetime- a professional dancer, actress, stand-up comic, children’s book author, philanthropist and entrepreneur. Excellent bowler, won many trophies, very positive person, received two Royal letters from the Duchess of Cambridge, expressing her joy that I visit the children’s hospices in the tri-state area. The Mayor of my hometown also invited me to read my children’s books at the 166th birthday event for Bricktown! I have been on the cover of newspapers, magazines, been a contributor on various radio and television shows, and podcasts, my television show and YouTube channel for children!
What sets you apart from others?
My positive attitude and gift of writing for children and the respect I show for my young audience. My dedication to children and lighting a positive path for their future. Through the gift of storytelling, my legacy is not about the number of written storybooks I have written, but the heart and passion, my commitment to academic excellence and high standards I put in place through the accomplishments and success of all children.
What are your upcoming major events?
Visiting children’s hospices, elementary schools, bookstores and other children’s events, podcasts and my fifth children’s book!!
What expert advice would you like to give?
Be yourself!! Always Follow Your Dreams and Reach For The Stars!!
