Sharon Jhalley Cover Story Interview – January 2026 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
Hi, I am the founder and creative force behind Amora Imani, a luxury fashion brand and couture experience built in the heart of London. I curate timeless elegance and express confidence through couture dresses, eveningwear and exclusive events that celebrate style, empowerment and community.
My designs have featured on runways in London, Dubai, Paris and Monaco, during their respective fashion weeks. I have also had features in Vouge Runway, Grazia, Harpers Bazaar, Elle and many more.
I have now incorporated organising and hosting events. I have hosted multiple fashion shows in locations in London and globally. I have now looked to level up and hosted my first of many, The Moulin Rouge Masquerade Ball at The Savoy Hotel on Saturday 6th December 2025. It was a selection of a fashion show, charity auction and awards ceremony all in one night. The successful night also entailed; a champagne reception, three course dinner, businesses advertising and an after party.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Every journey has its challenges. For me, building Amora Imani from a vision into a recognised fashion entity hasn’t always been easy. The fashion world is highly competitive, and establishing a brand that people trust, that resonates with clients internationally, and that stands for something beyond clothing, that took resilience, late nights, strategic pivots, lots of creativity and an unwavering belief in what I wanted to create. There were moments when resources were limited and competition was high, but I held onto my passion for craftsmanship and elegance.
I feel during Covid, I pushed my resources to their limits and was still successful enough to open my first boutique location in Knightsbridge.
What do people usually not know about you?
Most people don’t know that behind the glamour of Amora Imani’s events and couture is a relentless focus on creativity and late nights, not just fashion. I care deeply about how style influences confidence and how events can bring people together for meaningful impact. I also invest a lot of time personally in each piece and client experience, it’s far more than just business to me; it’s deeply personal.
What sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is the intersection of a mixture of creativity and luxury. I don’t just sell dresses, I create narratives of confidence, elegance, celebration and philanthropic impact. My work extends beyond retail into gala events, charity-driven balls and experiences that blend fashion with legacy. That’s not something every designer does.
What are your upcoming major events ?
So after the first successful grand event, I have already secured another three events throughout 2026, at high end locations, like The Savoy hotel. Please look out for events in May, September and December.
What expert advice would you like to give?
In fashion and in life, authenticity wins. Trends come and go, but a clear voice, strong craftsmanship and genuine connection with your audience are what endure. Never underestimate the power of confidence in your creations and in yourself.
