How do you introduce yourself?
I’m Shakirah Devoux (Known As: Baehoni). I’m a motivational speaker, health and wellness coach, writer and host, that just so happens to model.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I have had a number of setbacks including toxic and physically violent marriages that prevented me from pursuing my career fully. I’ve had people that have tried to force me into compromising my morals for success. I’ve also have been in bad contracts that prevented me from putting out content.
What do people usually not know about you?
That I am abstinent people assume because of how I look that I am promiscuous but that is far from the case. I’m very firm on my boundaries. Also a lot of people don’t know that I live a completely lifestyle and have been completely sober since 2022.
What sets you apart from others?
That I am not afraid to show my authenticity. I’m not hyper focused on an aesthetic or perfect image. I’m making it okay to be human.
What are your upcoming major events?
I have my own show (Raw Honi with Bae) that is launching new episodes soon.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Stay true to yourself and never compromise your morals. What’s for you will come to you. You don’t have to force it.
