How do you introduce yourself?
Saryina Hashmi – British Actress with a mix of English, Kashmiri & Irish heritage. Film and Fashion have been an innate obsession of mine since I could walk. I grew up with many cultures and always try to honour them in my everyday life.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Not the most stable childhood at times. Lots of family discord throughout the years. Along side that – I had suffered a couple of illnesses in my youth which weren’t the easiest things to push through. Had a wonderful Mother to support me though.
What do people usually not know about you?
I write dark poetry.
What sets you apart from others?
Being authentic. There’s no one else out there who is identical to me. That is the only way I can set myself apart.
What are your upcoming major events?
Still early in the year but I’ve got a few things which I can’t disclose now due to NDAs. However, I’m currently also writing something for film, so let’s see how that turns out.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Don’t quit. If life pauses, pause with it and fill the gap with something else you still enjoy. Do things you love everyday regardless of your career. The work will always be there at the right time. So never stop. Rest and come back to it. Life’s not running away.
